I do appreciate that this station has multiple access points across campus, especially since has one close to the Seneca Polytechnic buildings as well. It's roomy and has elevators and escalators in addition to stairs to the train platform. There are numerous machines to load your Presto card. There are a decent number of gates, but it's a real piss when they malfunction. Last it happened to me, I approached a second time and was let through; and yet, when I boarded my bus at VMC station, I was charged $4.00 instead of the $3.30 I should have had deducted at York University station. Never had problems like this with tokens. I don't use the subway a lot, but my taxes went into thus system, and I'm not overly impressed. Could be worse, I guess. Ans since it's the only one we've got, yes, I'll be using it again.

The station is smack in the middle of the Common area. There are north and south entrances. It's perfect. I like the whole look of the station from afar. The two entrances look futuristic with UFO-like roofs. They are attached by a wavy section. I just love everything about it. It's pleasing to my eyes. I didn't need to take the subway anywhere that night. I may try it sometime. Parking after 6 pm on campus at the York Lanes lot on weekdays is $8 and is good till 6 am the following day. It's not bad to take a break driving downtown by simply parking here and taking the subway. (128)

Meadowvale is a hub for two transit system. You can catch GO trains and buses and Mississauga transit (aka MiWay) buses if you're lucky. GO buses of both the Milton line and the northern GTA (over the 401 & 407) are available. The station is open while trains run. There's a pair of not excessively filthy bathrooms (well, I can only speak for the men's room: the lady's may be fresh as a daisy) and a coffee & snack kiosk. It's odd, really. The station is isolated, and mostly only accessible via transit (like most GO stations, the parking is insufficient) but the transit to it could be better. A conundrum I suppose. It's not a place you'll ever spend more time there than you must. I did, one late summer day, try to ease my stress by taking a quick dandelion break. It was helpful.

So why am I reviewing a bus route... because I can AND because this one deserves praise. There's only been a few occasions in the last 7 months that I've NEEDED to take the bus but each time I've walked to Kipling this bus is like a good neighbour, a good friend, nay like Statefarm insurance - it's there! Even in weekends with reduced service it seems like 10 minutes is the longest I've ever had to wait. For those looking to access the lesser known beaches of south etobicoke from the city center a quick ride across the bloor line to the Kipling station and jumping on this bus will have you at the Humber campus where they begin, in no time. I also feel a lot safer knowing that my fiancée, a regular TTC rider, never needs to wait for her bus when she leaves early in the morning for work. I've clocked it and the express buss actually gets me to Kipling station faster than when I drive. All other bus routes take note. Oh and also.... no crazies in this route phew!

Covered parking area which is designated especially for TTC commuters. Of course able to shop at Yorkdale before or after is always an added incentives? The platform is above ground , so you really need to bundle up while you waiting for your train arrive during winter, it can be bitter cold!

Roxanne, our driver, was amazing as she navigated Manhattan traffic, taking the bus through spots that most would avoid even in a compact car. The bus itself was clean, although the seats were less than comfortable for such a long drive, even with frequent rest stops. The hotel was lovely, and breakfasts were very good. We likely will not do another bus tour, preferring to set our own schedule, but this was an excellent way to see New York for the first time.

I travelled with Comfort Tours Canada on a 4-day 3-nights (Hyatt Regency Newbrunswick NJ) trip from…read moreToronto, ON to New York City, NY. Our Tour Director was Natasha and Driver named Miriam on a Kunkel coach bus. The trip was scheduled for travel on day 1 and 4. Day 2 and 3 was a guided tour and happened to be two of the hottest & humid days in NYC; 90 followed by 100 degrees temperature only! The hotel was very nice and the guided part of the trip was just enough history and information about the sights to make it a very memorable vacation. Crossing the border was an unbelievable experience, both TO in record time and BACK having the bus searched, all luggage and all passengers had to carry in all their belongings & purchases into the Customs office for processing. Thank you Natasha and Miriam for making it an exciting adventure!
