Grieving the unexpected loss of my 3 year old Bengal, I was searching online for kittens and saw one that I couldn't stop thinking about. When I called Petco, they were closing for the day but told me the cat had not been adopted and they would make sure that she was there in the morning. I arrived at 10am and the minute they opened the cage and handed her to me, she couldn't stop purring and I couldn't stop smiling! She is the sweetest, most affectionate and playful kitty and I couldn't be happier. Now 2.5 years later, I'm shopping at Clackamas Promenade which I often do, and noticed Petco over by Target. In all this time, I had never come back! I had been there to adopt the kitty but at the time, never realized it was a Petco. Crazy! Especially since Petco is the only place I buy kitty litter since they carry SoPhresh, the absolute best litter on the market. Little tracking, no oder, scoops easily and lasts. 14 pounds cost just $6.99; $5.99 if you refill a jug, saving you a dollars and the environment. Coincidentally I had my 14 pound refill jug in my car trunk as I was planning on going to Petco Unleashed on the roundabout way home. I wondered in to fill up on kitty litter and check out the store since it's located in an area that I frequent. It's a large Petco with a unique footprint. When you enter, there are cash registers and the pet supplies are to the left, up a few steps. There are lots of dog toys, beds and clothing, along with food, bones and other dog supplies supplies. Some super cute pull toys! Also lots of cat supplies; dry and wet food, treats, beds, scratching posts, toys, and of course the refill station for SoFresh. Management - please look into carrying Nulo brand dry cat food. If Petco carried, I could take care of all my cat needs at one store. Petsmart and Broadway Pet carry Nulo, specifically the Hairball Management version that works and is a necessity for my two long haired cats. In the back area of the store, with a nautical theme, are the fish, lizards, and other small critters. The area was very clean with no fish or animal smell. They also groom dogs at this location. The staff is super friendly. The best part of my visit was getting to cuddle a Golden Doodle puppy who as there with his owner. The cashier gave me some treats to give the puppy, which we both enjoyed! He, the treats; me the love. Glad the receptors in my brain we're working that day and made the connection that there is a Petco at Clackamas Prominade. When I empty the last of the litter into the kitty litter pan, I always put the empty jug in my car so that when I pass a Petco, I can refill. This Petco is now on the list!

She called me to come get Oliver after 15 minutes of her starting his grooming, because he was so bad. ‍ (I'd never heard that in 6 years of having him, and regular grooming, with various groomers!) She even said he had tried to bite her (she told me she had her arm around her head, trying to "calm him down??" ) Anyway, after being fearful (I'm sorry) of Petco's grooming salon, I saw how well Sarah had done on Alicia's dogs, so chatted with Sarah, and she felt she could "handle" Oliver. It turns out he adored her, gave her kisses right away, and didn't so much as lift a lip to warn her of anything while she groomed. She said he did great, and he even gave her kisses on the table. I believe this, as he wanted to stay after he was done!! She also had to shave out mats, and blend in, where I had hacked (lovingly) with scissors. I am beyond pleased with the outcome. She hand picked Roxy for me and she is absolutely incredible in every way. I specifically wanted a dog to become a therapy dog in the school setting. Stacey has spent countless hours guiding me through this process, helping me train Roxy, answering questions, etc. Stacey is an incredible wealth of knowledge. When you get a dog from her she is always willing to help train you on how to handle your dog. She has told me very tiny changes to make in training and it fixed the issue almost instantly. Thanks to her guidance, and incredibly well bred dogs, Roxy is already working in my classroom with children at just 4 months old and she's doing an amazing job! Teachers and students are already absolutely in love. Stacey even took the time to speak with my students to train them on how to interact with a puppy. I highly recommend Stacey as a breeder. But my personal experience is as follows. My brother got a labradoodle from Golden Xpress and that dog was amazing in every way. She just recently passed of old age. My brother plans on getting his next Labradoodle from Golden Xpress. I myself fostered one of her labradoodles as the owner was deployed so I was simply raising the pup waiting for it's owner to return home. I fell in love. What a smart amazing dog. It was hard to hand her over. My son and his wife currently have two Labradoodles from Golden Xpress and they are just complete dolls, so incredibly intelligent, and social. My cousin is currently in the process of getting her first Labradoodle from Golden Xpress and I have met this older puppy and she is also just a complete lover. My son's mother in law is also currently in the process of getting her first Labradoodle from Golden Xpress. I met this 9 month puppy and fell in love. I held her for about an hour and she just put her little head on my shoulder and loved being loved. I wanted to take her home and add her to my fur family, but I have too many dogs right now. So, we took my son's mother & father in law to meet this pup and they fell in love and wanted her. So, I'll still get to spend time with this cutie. Stacey is a good solid reputable breeder. She only breeds dogs that the veterinarian approves for breeding. She would never keep breeding a sick dog as I saw in one reviewer say. My son's two females are in a guardian contract and he had to take them to the vet for the vet to issue full approval for them to begin to breed. My brother had also entered the guardian contract with Stacey and his dog had a difficult time through her first litter and because of that, Stacey dissolved the contract with my brother because she refused to put his dog through a difficult situation again. His girl got spay and was his free and clear so, it is complete nonsense that she continued breeding a sick male dog as stated by one reviewer. I saw a review that she sold a underweight and sick dog. I can guarantee that never happened. To that reviewer: Dogs eat poop. Google it, many groups regarding that and no vet is going say what you said yours told you. Its gross but it happens. Back to my review: Stacey doesn't have a property with 100 dogs on it. Most of the females she breeds are in guardian situations which means that someone like me can pick my puppy and that puppy will be a breeder IF her vet approves it. Once the vet approves it the female will be bred, but that female lives with her new family. It is nothing like what you see in backyard breeding situations where dogs are stacked on top of dogs, unhealthy, and pathetic, and discarded when she can no longer produce. I personally work to find these kinds of breeders and rally to get them shut down. So, I'm sorry but those couple bad reviews are just untrue.
