I saw the resident, Dr. Kenny, who just did the workup, and then the attending doctor, Nicole Schneiderman. She followed protocols for about 4.5 hours with no success in stopping the bleeding, and finally cauterized my nose with silver nitrate, which stopped it immediately. She's a cool customer, constantly reassuring me that I was not going to bleed out, despite the blood everywhere! The nurses I saw were all top notch. I've been a patient at Northshore for 30 years, and have been saddened by the precipitous decline in the availability of both my primary, and my specialists, who are all great doctors, BUT; Most are booked from 4-8 MONTHS out, no doubt due to so many of them leaving the system (including three of mine). His office takes on more patients than they can reasonably serve in a day; they are consistently 45min late for appointments and you can see that people in the waiting room are agitated because of this. Sometimes he seemed like he didn't know what was going on. He prescribed me the same therapy twice, which worked neither time. Each of my appointments felt rushed. He requested I have an x-ray done and opted to decline to mention half the findings, like I didn't have the radiologist's interpretation available to me through my patient portal. Overall, this is not the caliber of care I would expect from a physician affiliated with Presence Health.

Dr Ohri was attentive, but beware if you need a procedure done, expect to wait at least a full 3…read moremonths for an available time. My 4th phone call resulted in a young lady with attitude who told me we only have one scheduler, she will get to you when she gets to you. With a scheduler at 8 hours a day for 3 months, you would have to have 5,000 patients waiting. Not likely!! We called Dr Jonathan Ehrlich as a new patient and already had our consult and have the colonoscopy scheduled for two weeks. Go elsewhere if you want a practice that actually cares about their patients!!
