This little toy store in Woodstock, VT took me back to the old days of growing up. A lot of the items sold were toys I had grown up with or had seen other kids with that are no longer popular or hip. (Wow I'm old now just thinking this) This store carries items from the classic pin art (the square box with needles that you could make a copy of your face with in raised metal) to crystal growing kits. I mainly browsed the selection of items and revealed in the nostalgia all while my fiancee tried to make heads and tails of what she viewing. (She is Chinese and didn't grow up with these items so it took some explaining). Anyway that is off topic. Overall the name of the store lends itself well to what it sells as many of these items are so rare or forgotten that they might as well be mythical like the Unicorn itself.

Cute little shop with a lot of unicorn gift ideas. Gems, jewelry, cards, coloring books and other small gifts.

It is a small area but there is lots to look through, a little bit of local merch and random little gift items, kind of a playful hippie vibe overall.

What makes this store better then most of the others is the variety and craftsmanship that can be seen throughout. It also doesn't hurt that you are greeted by the happiest and sweetest dog there upon entering the store. The store itself was beautifully maintained and organized. It had a flow to it that just drew you to ever corner. From the front display of handcrafted metal worked lights to the far back of the store's amazingly knitted coats and hats there is something for everyone to see and purchase for a country home. There is a wide variety of kitchen items such as cutting boards and cheese knives that match with the wood fire glazed pottery. Across from the pottery and kitchen items was a knitting selection of mushrooms and other out there figurines such as fish and sock monkeys. But, the crown jewel of the store in my opinion has to be the jewelry. These items which ranged from necklaces to ear piercings are all handcrafted and beautifully worked. Every case had the name of the crafter on it and the store owner could provide you with more info upon request. Overall this is 1 of 2 stores that should be on everyone's must view list when visiting the town of Woodstock, VT.

Upon opening the jar in September-ish of this year I noticed mold growing inside the jar on the cap and in the product. There was no expiration date that I could find on the jar. I did contact Clover Gift Shop and they said: "thanks for letting us know about the cream- IT DOES HAVE ABOUT A YEAR SHELF LIFE, so it's just hit that year mark. That being said, I KEEP A JAR FROM EVERY BATCH WE'VE MADE SINCE 2018 AND HAVE YET TO SEE MOLD. Is it possible it was contaminated from water, maybe from wet hands? It is all natural so can be susceptible to mold possibly if it gets contaminated. In any case, I'm sorry you are having issues. I CAN SEND YOU A NEW JAR IF IT'S SOMETHING THAT YOU THINK YOU WOULD CONTINUE TO USE? This batch was just made, so is good until at least October 2026. Let me know, and I'll have our store manager ship one out! Thank you for alerting me to the issue . I really appreciate that." I asked for a refund, which I guess isn't possible. They do have a 30 day return policy. I do not think it was contaminated in any way, but of course that's just my perception. I preferred the offer of a refund, but won't continue using this product.

The Village Green Gallery serves a great niche in Weston. For tourists: The town is in a deadzone for internet, and the cafe offers tables to sit at to check your email. Only, the connection is unreliable in the 6+ times I've visited over the past 2 years. I find the prices for coffee and light pastries to be very expensive, and the service not that great, although there is careful attention paid to keep it all local. In comparison to the tsotchke knick-knacks of the Vermont Country Store and the Weston Village Store, the fine crafted pottery, jewelry, glasswork, and photographs are a breath of fresh air. All the pieces, while expensive, are truly a sight to behold. And there are a handful of intentionally lower-priced items like note cards and glass rings for sale, too. For locals: the Fuji'is host the Weston Film Club for monthly viewings and discussions on foreign and independent films. They also host a book club and open up the space for other community meetings. I highly recommend a viewing (usually during the week) of the Film Club. Pop in to browse! The location right on the West Village Green can't be beat! While this is a favorite, I treat it more like a museum to view the artwork, as there's little there that I can afford there and I've never been wowed by the hospitality of Mrs. Fuji, who's usually behind the counter of the cafe. Look elsewhere for food. Look no further if you need to check your email and want to be inspired by the artwork.
