They didn't have much in stock, but they were able to get in some superb diamonds at a reasonable price. This weekend my husband and I went into Amidons by the Powerhouse Mall in West Leb.l for Christmas…read more I found a pair of Italian gold hoop earrings I loved and noticed a nick in the gold on one earring and a large abrasion/wear on the other. I asked if another pair could be ordered and they weren't sure because it was the weekend and they needed to reach out to the manufacturer. Today they called me back to say it's out of stock. What got to me is that they were perfectly comfortable selling those earrings to me with damage and tried explaining to me that it's the type of polished gold and it will mark up eventually anyways. If you spend $1,000 on a pair of earrings, you want them in nice condition to begin with. I asked if they could fix the damaged ones on display (bc I loved them that much) and the sales rep said no. It's my second bad experience there. Last time I brought my great grandmothers ring there to get it sized. The jeweler accidentally sized down to a thinner band. When I went to pick it up I noticed it right away. The sales rep never apologized and after the rep confirmed the error on the order, they just offered to refund me for the lesser gold. I didn't trust them to take my ring again at this point to fix it. I didn't want this ring to keep getting resized several times when they should've gotten right the first time. I was extremely disappointed because it was a 75+ year old family diamond ring I was gifted to me. It has significant sentimental value to my family and I felt as though it wasn't a big deal to them and just another job to do. I'm not one to make a big deal about things but since this was my second poor experience there. First with the sizing of a family heirloom and second with not caring enough about a piece they're going to sell at full price with visible damage to it. You would think they would care enough about the pieces they sell to be in new condition. I wouldn't have even bought it at a discounted price due to the damage. Wish I took pictures of them to post but in the moment I didn't think of doing this.

I purchased a small $78 stuffed animal on my last visit but this time they didn't give me the chance to buy anything. The lady was obsessed with getting my drink & after I left she loudly chastised me to the other employee while my daughter was still in the store. I was in there for 3 minutes tops & I heard her chasing people around trying to get their bags & telling other people where to stand. What a weird place! I was going to spend another $100 & probably would have at each visit but now I'll never go back. Good thing the carpet is safe from my seltzer. It's very unprofessional to talk loudly about a customer while other customers are present. I was very polite but decided to leave when she tried to take my drink & that's my choice. I shouldn't be targeted for opting to wait outside. Tearing me down in front of my daughter is rude & inappropriate. Nice toy store. Feels more like a jail to me.

Well, NT Ferro's felt the need to take such from my family? What am I talking about? Well, read on............ Our grandmother had recently passed and left some heirlom jewlery to us. We had it appraised at another reputable jeweler and were told a certain amount. With that said, we then took it to NT Ferro's- what a mistake! NT Ferros is where we took our recently inherited jewelry to see what our options were as far as reselling/consigning and have what we were hoping to be a positive experience. You may want to grab a chair as you may feel sick and floored the same way I did, to the point that you can't even stand. The jewelry that we left in the trust of their hands (as well as upon their request that we leave in their possesion) was then held for ransom like a hijacked train and with the appraisal at half the amount of what was originally told to us from the previous reputable jeweler. We were then told that the items would only be released upon a fee of $50! Are you kidding!! Talk about taking advantage of someone in their time of requesting help!! Well we must have known about this you say?? I even had to second guess myself but there was absolutely no mention, nothing in writing. Only a claim ticket of the items-that was it. Maybe you say that they cleaned the items, restored them, etc.....nope. They were in the exact same condition. Maybe you say they went out of their way to research the items further........nope. They tried to tell us they were only willing to give us a considerable amount (basically half!) of the appraised value we were originally quoted. Even the mall kiosks would offer more than that (not that this is what I was looking to do, but it was that insulting) Maybe they came back with some kind of golden ticket or back rub at least???? NO!! The only thing NT Ferros should have offered us along with all this aggrevation is some advil for all the headache and pain they caused! Heck, even some Pepto for the fact that they made me sick to my stomach! Avoid this place at all costs, unless your in the mood to go in your backyard and pick a few bills off your money tree to throw into the garbage.

My mom bought me a dress and sent it out to me in CA. She asked the person working in the shop if she could return it a few days late if it didn't work for me, and she was told that it would be possible. Well, it turned out the cut & color didn't suit me, so I sent it back. This little well-traveled dress is back in NH now, just three days after the 14-day deadline, but the owner is telling her no returns are possible, not even for store credit. We're stuck with a dress we don't want because of a mis-informed employee and stringent policies. Buyers beware.

We are enamoured by the high-touch service of the staff here. The various jewelry collections are gorgeous. Modern jewelry enthusiasts will also not be disappointed here, in terms of selection. You can even find vintage jewelry at Pearce. We were charmed by a carving in a cameo wearing a tinier cameo. The white-glove service here cannot be overstated. My grandmother's precious jewelry and some other beloved items were ran over on Route 89, and the team rallied to find what could be repaired. The staff are quick to offer cost options, as well. For instance, to replace a lobster claw clasp we need to pay over $200. But for one of our bracelets, the $40 clasp option was just fine. They will repair your jewelry and watches on site. If the repair is more complex, there is a watch technician who will pick your watch up on the weekend and return it the following week. And when I did this, there was a precise invoice prepared with a photo of my watch on the print-out. Very much appreciated the process, here, which counterbalances the repair turnaround time of one week. From the moment you walk in, as soon as the staff are able to greet you, your needs come first. And there is an hospitality bar with coffee, tea and soft drinks available. The overall space and ambience are clean and beautiful. I have not found this level of genuinely luxurious service - defining 5 Stars - in the surrounding area nor beyond. It's not to say that folks in NH and Vermont aren't nice. From a service perspective, they are usually friendly, efficient and competent. But at Pearce Jewelers, you are walking in to a high-end, customer-first experience.

When I asked at what point you find out how much an item costs she responded I would learn at the check out and to just "shop like I normally would." Here's the thing, when I shop 'normally' I know what I am paying for an item. I get that if you're shopping in a whale belt store in a preppy town you should expect to pay too much for a tissue of a tank top. What you don't expect is the sales woman to act like you're Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman having a nice spree on Richard Gere's dime.
