For an American cocktail enthusiast, the cocktails are uniformly unexciting and overpriced, and this was no exception. But the croque monsieur! It was fairly flavorless, and a little soggy because there was way too much butter and not enough cheese. How do you make a grilled ham & cheese and not be able to taste the cheese? I started out with a salad that was truly amazing and has changed the way I think about salads. It was a mixture of leafy greens, other vegetables, sunflower seeds, thick bacon pieces lightly drizzled with a lovely dijon type dressing and served in a pastry type bowl. The salad was accompanied by a weird meat spread on a piece of bread (which tasted great if you can handle eating a meat spread thing), as well as delicious goat cheese melted on bread with honey poured over. My main course was a ravioli served with sun dried tomatoes, eggplant, some cheese, pesto and some tomato ragu type sauce. I loved that the pasta was not just covered in sauce as it is in America.
