That is when Yummy Kitchen coil to strike. Found amongst a street of takeaways and fast food outlets, Yummy Kitchen always seems to be busy in the evening, despite there being far tastier options only 30 seconds away. As you can probably tell, I'm not a big fan of this place. The food is sub-standard and that is all that needs to be said really. For a takeaway shop, the quality of food is paramount. It doesn't matter how quick the food is served or how good the price is, if the grub doesn't meet the standards then I won't be coming back. This is exactly the case with the ironically named Yummy Kitchen.

It's great value for money with generous portion sizes. They often have lunchtime specials posted in their walls too. The staff are incredibly friendly and had no problem with me being a very picky eater and asking for strange requests. They used to do a loyalty card that you could get stamped when ordering in store (not for delivery) but I'm not sure whether they still offer this. I filled up far too many cards! With a KFC, Pizza Hut, Dominos and about a dozen Chinese/Indian takeaways surrounding it, Subway stands proud as the sole healthy fast food option on the street. With so many fattening temptations flirting with the taste buds of passers by, Subway more often than not gets overlooked by many of those who live nearby. Yet, despite being seriously outnumbered in the fight against fatty foods, Subway somehow manages to get a fair amount of business and there is almost always a queue whenever I've gone there in the past. The food itself is standard Subway procedure; choose your bread, choose you filling, bish-bash-bosh and you're out the door. This shops actual presence is the real plus point. In an area dominated by unhealthy takeaways, it's nice to find somewhere you can grab a tasty bite to eat without furiously clogging your arteries at the same time.
