Uni Kebab is one of the better food options on campus at the University of Auckland. It's clean (don't confuse it with the E-graded Kebabs on Campus at AUT), cheap, and the staff are friendly. It's average-to-good in terms of kebabs, and some menu items (e.g. doner kebab) are offered sporadically.
Where Uni Kebab shines is the quality of food relative to the other options on campus. The standout option here has to be their large chips, which are cooked to order - they're $3 a cup, with sauces provided (look left of the register), and are unfailingly hot, crispy and good. There's no real alternative to these on campus - you'll pay much more for the equivalent in the 'dine-in' cafes and bars. They also have good fresh salads and tabbouleh available.
You -can- do better by walking down into the CBD, where there's more competition and not a captive market. But if you're stuck on campus and need a quick bite, this is your best bet. read more
