This place use to feel like family. They have gotten way to big too fast! I use to be able to call in and get things immediately taken care. Recently they started adding overdraft fees on pending transactions before they even hit the account so you can have money in your account and still have over draft fees even if you have a check waiting to clear for deposit. There use to be no delay in deposited funds but now they have some outside company helping with deposits on the app so you never know when things will be deposited. UGH!

I give this credit union no stars! it does not deserve any at all. Had to put one…read more. I am speaking for all of veridian credit union banks or online services. I have a 15 day grace period on my motorcycle loan and when you go on line to pay a few days before the grace period is up, it's sure to make sure you are late paid after the grace period. then they hit you with a 15 dollar late charge. All other banks and institutions deem the payment paid when done online within the grace period as long as you have your accounts set up. I was told way back in the beginning as long as I paid it online withing the 15 days, no late payment would be assessed. I even called them several times to complain and they are rude and could careless. This is a horrible bank and they are desperate to get late payment fees anyway they can. Do not use them, and if your buying a car or getting a loan, make sure who ever is setting you up does not use them. Demand! they use LBS or Altura credit unions. Again and i state this with truth.. all other banks do not take for ever like this bank does to make an online payment. all other banks deem your payment paid as long as its paid on line within the grace period. even my mortgage loan has a 16 day grace period, sometimes i pay it on the 15th and no late fee is ever charged. Car loans i have had all through out my life have never done this either. Veridian Credit union is a greedy little bank

But, they don't cash US Savings Bonds. I couldn't believe it. They also charge for them to withdraw money if you want a check. It's only I think $5. Or $7 dollars. I thought a bank would offer those services without cost. They do have some really service minded tellers that are very customer oriented and customer friendly, and they do the best that they can, but the bank makes it difficult. I have been accepting of all those things. I am a loyal type person and have been sticking with them because of their tellers but I am about to leave completely. I thought they would continue to be like a small town banks, but their policies make it hard for me to remain loyal.

I've witnessed multiple instances of extremely disrespectful behavior from the staff at this…read morelocation--especially toward LGBTQ+ individuals. They often come across as rude and condescending when customers don't immediately know store policies--which, let's be real, most people wouldn't unless they worked there. I saw one of the employees, who usually works the window a blond lady, speak harshly to a trans woman from Claire's over something minor she didn't know. The poor woman left looking visibly shaken, almost in tears. That kind of treatment is unacceptable and inhumane. On top of that, I overheard a conversation between employees about religion and their opinions on how people dressed them referring to the trans woman again after they left. It is so wrong in the middle of work hours, which felt highly inappropriate in a professional setting--especially given how they treat those who are "different." This place seriously needs a culture check.
