I've been here on two occasions:
First time I went in was to fix a loose brake pad. I asked if I could borrow an allen key to tighten my brake and was told that university policy prevents them from loaning tools out to students. I don't know how true that is, but anyway, I said I'd buy the allen key. So he looks at my bike, grabs the allen key off the shelf and sells it to me. All good until I realize he sold me the wrong allen key - and by this time I can't return it because I've removed it from its packaging in an attempt to tighten my brake.
I tell him he sold me the wrong allen key, he gives me a disgruntled face and uses his tools to fix my bike. The tools that he said he couldn't help me with.
If anyone should be disgruntled it should be me, for being sold the wrong tool and being subjected to such horrible customer service. I left the store feeling ripped off.
Thought it might've been a one off so I gave them a second shot. This time I went in was to fix a flat. Picked up the bike, paid for it, realized he didn't give me a valve cap for the new tube. I asked him (same guy, the one with tatts) and he said, "you don't need it".
I'm confused - whether I need it or not I would expect it to be returned to me. He returned the punctured tube to me but refused to return the valve cap to me. Why?
He wasn't interested in attending to me after I paid him for the new tube so I just left the store. I don't wish to argue with terrible customer service and will never be returning to this store again. read more
