In the teaching of Piano, Mrs. Marsavanion makes use of simple approaches, breaks the subject down into simple forms for understanding. Be proactive and practice consistently. And learn to take constructive criticism. How will you improve otherwise? Mrs. Marsavanion is patient and only moves ahead after contentment is expressed. There are no shortcuts though. Listen to her every word and take notes. Correct practice at home equates to less correction on her end so raise, and meet her standards or you will fail. All you have to do is listen and ask questions. An old saying goes "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". Due to the complexity of piano, I will be sticking with Mrs. Marsavanion for the long run, not because I do not believe in the competency of other instructors, but because of the adaptation to her teaching methods, and would like to maintain the consistency that has seen me performing well. And if you have to remind them you ordered queso there's an even bigger problem.

They have an eclectic mix of instruments including trumpet, trombone, saxophone, guitar, percussion, keyboard, and, yes, a violin. Randy, the creator of the group, does the arranging for this mix, and also sings. Their repertoire of music is very complete, from the 70's, 80's, 90's until now. Highly recommended.
