SouthWest Water Company - My unreasonably high bill. poor quality not getting what we're paying for, on top of everything they take from the poor

    SouthWest Water Company

We were given a surprise $800+ water bill. They came out to check for a leak which wasn't there,…read moreand then the next bill was $380. $380 is now our baseline bill regardless of usage, up from $225/month which was already ridiculous. This is for 800 sq foot business with one toilet that flushes max 10 times a day, 4 days a week. No shower, laundry, or sprinklers. No motivation to help us because guess what- they're our only option for water!

What else is there to say negative about this companies handling of infrastructure and the people…read morethey serve that already hasn't been said...but anyways, they suck. Constant outages, poor water quality, in fact ive stood by while the workers fix main line breaks in my yard...yes they've got a line that cuts through my property and it serves no purpose, but they've dug it up to fix it, destroyed trees and left craters in my yard....anyways the workers would be we hope you don't drink this...you don't want to know what's in the water, and where it comes from. We pay roughly 100$ a month just for the service of having water, then the rest of the charges sur charges sure fees and this fee syart piling up and for what...water quality that has killed 3 hot water heaters in a year, yearly I suck 6 to 7 inches of greasy and clearly muck from from our water heater. They've been reported and taken to court to no avail. So reviews are all you can do until the owners expire on their own time.

Gave a hour and a 10 min notification of arrival. He walked the exterior and interior of the house. He pointed out possible concerns. Eventually brought in a machine and took multiple measurement throughout the house. He explained what was considered acceptable. He gave me recommendations on how to help my foundation, and what to look out for. He was very relaxed and informative. He wasn't pushy or trying to push me into getting foundation work done. It was a very positive experience.

The inspector, JT, was friendly and clear spoken and took his time going through everything. He used some kind of high-tech equipment to measure our floors and figure out how much our slab was off, then walked us through all his findings in plain English. Turns out we didn't need any major foundation work right now (which was a huge relief!), but JT still gave us some great tips on how to prevent future issues. I really appreciated how honest he was -- no pressure, no upselling, just straightforward advice. It's nice to know there are still honest foundation companies out there that care more about helping people than just making a quick buck. Foundation work is not cheap, but will save your house from further damage if needed. Big thanks to JT and Generocity Foundation!

    HTeaO

SO EXCITED Pearland has an HTeaO!…read more This place is brand new and CLEAN! (The floor isn't super sticky -yet- like the one in Webster). We love sampling all the tea flavors before deciding on our usual (either decaf unsweetened blueberry or decaf unsweetened regular). The Arnold Palmer is incredible but we can't bring ourselves to drink more than the shot-glass sampling cup due to the sugar. There is a sweet Zero tea but it's sweetened with Erythritol which upsets our tummies. The guy at the register was SO FRIENDLY. He thought he recognized me but it was my first time. Suggested they open another location in Pearland near 288. Come during their happy hour 2-4pm for 1/2 price teas.

I was disappointed with my recent and first visit to the new Pearland HTeaO…read more I had just picked up lunch from Big Horn. As I ordered my food at Big Horn I started to have a taste for iced tea. I had plenty of drinks at home so I decided to save myself $2.50 by not getting a tea. My craving for iced tea continued to grow as I drove home. I looked at my clock, it was 1:54 and I realized HTeaO's 1/2 price happy hour was about to start! I drove passed my house and onward to the new Pearland HTeaO. A perfect excuse to try out the new location. I arrived a little after 2. The sign out front read 1/2 off drinks, 2-4. Yay! There wasn't a line at all. I was a little surprised but relieved that I wasn't going to have to wait in a long line. I ordered an unsweet coconut and unsweet mint tea. They announced my total, $3 dollars and 70 something cents. What? I shrugged it off and assumed they had it wrong or maybe I was there too early and their systems hadn't updated yet. I get to the window. A young lady kindly complimented me on my eyeglasses and again repeated the high total to me. Still perplexed but having gone out of my way to buy the tea I handed her my debit card. She handed me my tea. I started to drive off but then I honked my horn and had to ask them why I hadn't received the happy hour 1/2 off price. Another young lady came to the window, apologized and said "oh it's buy one get one free. We're sorry we should've told you." 1. I get that BOGO is the same as 1/2 off but I've always seen BOGO advertised as BOGO, not as 1/2 off. When something is half off it's 1/2 off. 2. They didn't offer or ask me about ordering a second drink. If that's the deal, I shouldve been asked what I wanted for my second drink. The special should've at least been offered to me. Maybe I'm tripping. I could've swore HTeaO was used to truly be 1/2 off. I hadn't been in a while so maybe it changed to BOGO since my last visit. At any rate, I was disappointed with the bait and switch. Why not just advertise as BOGO instead of 1/2 off to ensure you don't confuse or upset your customers? To make things worse, the tea wasn't very good and I only ended up drinking a few sips of it. The coconut flavor tasted sweet although I had ordered unsweet coconut and unsweet mint. It was a letdown. Two stars to this location instead of one since the young lady complimented my glasses but more of a 1 star experience overall and a waste of time. I very likely will not return.
