I will ONLY use Slater Lawn & Garden for work on my irrigation system. My next-door neighbor…read morehighly recommended them to me. Slater's men were thoroughly competent and professional. They work hourly and bill only for work done and material installed. They fixed a very complex irrigation problem that we have been suffering with for years. Previous calls to other "irrigation contractors" only resulted in ridiculously high bids. Slater was at my house at 8am. They re-worked at repaired heads and lines in seven zones. They were done by 2pm. Using their service and business approach resulted in me paying less than 25% of what the other contractors were bidding (and those bids were without even knowing what the real problems or needed solutions were). Our system - all zones, all heads - works perfectly. https://www.slaterlawnandgarden.com/ Thank you, Mr. Slater!

I was assured by Ethan that he was confident that he was able to handle the job and do it right. I paid half up front and Ethan and his employees did the job. Unfortunately, they didn't properly plant the trees and set up the irrigation and as a result, the trees have all died. Additionally, they did not stake any of the trees even after I asked them repeatedly to. As a result, before they died, half of the trees were falling over and some were even growing sideways on an angle. I asked Ethan multiple times to come back and fix their poor work but they never did. In addition to the trees being dead and planted improperly, the cleanup that they were contracted to do was also done extremely poorly. They came back two times on separate occasions to "complete" the cleanup. Both times leaving substantial amounts of weeds in tact and entire flower beds untouched. I had to have another professional come out to my house and do the clean up job properly. They removed 14 15 gallon buckets worth of weeds. Being obviously frustrated by the situation, I reached out to Ethan and explained to him that I did not feel that he deserved to get paid the full amount since they had not completed the job. Ethan agreed that my assessment was correct and have text proof of this interaction. I told him I would pay the agreed upon remainder of $2,500. Two days later on a Sunday he showed up at my house with 3 other adult males and banged on my door in an extremely threatening manor. My wife answered the door and told them to get off of our property but not before they threatened that they would be back to rip out the trees if they did not receive immediate payment. (Trees were purchased independently from Ethan). Ethan Channel and Channel Outdoor Services is a horrible business and I implore you to never work with them. Ethan is barely what I would consider an amateur. He has very little applicable landscaping skills and knowledge. He also severely lacks people skills. EDIT: Turns out, Ethan Channell did over $2000 worth of damage to my irrigation system and is lucky I'm not suing. If you don't want useless idiots doing your landscaping then avoid Channell Landscape at all costs.

The weeds seemed out of control, I couldn't ever get the grass to fully turn green, and I had several bare spots throughout my 1/4 acre lot. I paid another locally owned company for a full year and saw meager results at best. I cancelled their service and called Millikens. From the first phone call, they were professional, helpful, concise, and definitely knew what they were doing. They put me on their 6 week schedule and came out within a few weeks for the first treatment. To date, I have only had two treatments and my lawn is already one of the best on my street. Each time they have come out, they spend 20+ minutes on my yard. You can tell they actually care vs the last company that did a 5-10 minute "spray and pray". Highly recommend in every way! Support your local businesses! You won't regret calling Milliken's.

Mike and his crew did an awesome job at a reasonable cost. Not only were the heads fixed that needed maintenance, but Mike recommended changes to the system that would give us better performance. It wasn't an upsell and there was no pressure to do the additional work. As an engineer, I understood the rationale for the changes that had been clearly communicated. The results exceeded our expectations. We have continued to use Sarge Irrigation for the past few years and have never been disappointed. Mike is courteous, professional, and does excellent work. Most recently we had an elbow fitting break that caused a pressure drop over an entire zone. In just a few minutes, the fitting was replaced and the zone was working perfectly. The cost for the visit was less than expected. Mike also made timing adjustments with a clear explanation of the changes that were made. This was above and beyond the work that had already been completed with its invoice paid. Speaks to Mike's character. Sure, he's running a business, but he clearly takes pride in the work his team does. Pictures have been included to speak to the quality of their work.
