We were picked up at our hotel, all 28 of us climbed into two trucks and drove to our first destination Ballast Brewery. They have an amazing selection of beers to taste. Our Beer Guides were awesome. They shared their vast beer knowledge at the next brewery Saint Archer. Great beer there too! The truck rides were fun as they were full of beer and water. We hooked up our own music to listen to 80s tunes. (I'm 50 remember? :p ) Finally we got to Duckfoot Brewery where my gluten free brother could have some beer as well! Everyone could join in on this tour! Something for everyone! (They had wine at Ballast too) The catered bbq food was SO good. Snarfed that down with some great beer. Hotshots Brewery Tours is amazing. They made my Birthday pretty epic. The family and friends will be talking about it for awhile! They all want to go again. Im like YES..but you're all paying for it this time :p Nick and Canyon were beyond awesome (sorry if I spelled your name wrong :/ ) Paul is probably looking forward to not receiving anymore of my frantic emails..:p You guys did a fantastic job. The old school firetruck was a pretty sweet ride! There was plenty of beer and water inside for us to begin the journey. You could also hook up your phone to the sound system and play your own music. Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. We all had a great time, and if you book them for your brewery tour, you'll have a great time as well!

The most special part was that for our third stop Luke worked with me to add a personalized stop for us to visit our friend's new baby! An incredibly special and memorable night for me and my group of friends. Luke is the perfect blend of chill and dependable: payment, planning, communication, pick-up, driving, drop-off were all a breeze. He's witty and knowledgable and he knows how to start a party. Every step of the way, she kept us hooked with fun facts and unique details that brought the history and culture of the area to life. From the splurgy origin of the term "sugar daddy" to the hidden party basements under pubs (once used for disco clubbing and even underground food truck pop-ups), Isabella made sure the tour was full of surprises. I loved learning about the Emerald Building and its jewel connection, the Horton Hotel's Austrian-inspired design, and the San Diego Convention Center's architecture inspired by a wave breaking over a cruise ship. Her storytelling was so engaging that the city felt like a living, breathing character itself. Isabella's enthusiasm is contagious, and she truly makes you fall in love with San Diego all over again. I did not receive any notification communications about any changes (email, SMS, or phone call). When I tried to contact info@sdfreewakkingtour.com, the email bounced. Calling their phone number goes to voicemail. Overall not a pleasant experience, maybe they are having a bad day? A bit more organization (eg: more specificity regarding the meeting point, some kind of hat or umbrella to help identify the tour operator) or communication regarding unexpected tour cancellation would result in a better customer experience. Sorry for the poor review, I may update it once I receive clarification and an explanation regarding what happened.

Super personalized and our driver was knowledgeable and asked the bride questions and gave lots of options for where she wanted to go! We didn't bring much on board, so our main idea was to stop at as many cute, picturesque bars as we could! Which our driver (and us) nailed! Definitely a great time, as our driver Justin even stopped at some extra places and offered to take pics! If there's any tips I'd give to others, the tuk tuk was a great idea with 5 people because even if it can hold 6, it would have been a tight squeeze. The floor of the buggy was really high so you're pretty much in a squat position for a lot of it! Make sure you know 3 people would be going backwards!
