Recently, I decided to try Thai massage. With some trepidation since I was unfamiliar with that style and since what information I could find on the internet was rather vague. Happily, that trepidation dissipated on my first visit. I visited Wat Po about a month ago for the first time. I was greeted inside the door and after signing in, I was asked to remove my shoes and slip into a pair of sandals. I was escorted to a small room with a rather large massage table and told to remove everything except my underwear and then slip under the sheet. Soft, ambient music played in the background. The room, though plain, was clean, as were the sheets. My therapist returned a few minutes later and the massage began I wouldn't say that Thai massage would put the recipient to sleep. There was a lot of stretching and pushing as well as walking on the back. I like a lot of pressure, since in the past I've found that for me, more pressure means greater gains. However, I was encouraged to tell her if less pressure was required or if I was experiencing pain. Some interesting oils were applied ( Rosemary, I believe, was one) which was very pleasant from an aromatherapy viewpoint. There were hot stones ( a new experience for me) which further relieved tension. When the hour was concluded, I dressed and made my way up front where I was offered a nice cup of hot tea and a bottle of water. I paid and left. It wasn't until 20 minutes later, while driving home that I realized that the chronic neck pain I had lived with for several months had gone! I found that very impressive and I also felt an increased flexibility in my limbs that I've not felt with Swedish massage - don't get me wrong, I still love Swedish massage for relaxation, but Thai massage seems to invigorate and improve mental focus. I went back last week for a two hour session and it was again, an excellent experience. I'm making this a part of my wellness program for the foreseeable future. I don't think I've taken so much as a Tylenol since the last session. Now, that's therapeutic massage!

I saw this chiropractor on Friday, Oct. 11th 2024. When the chiropractor went to crack my back, he…read morehad me lay with my back on the table and he leaned reaching over me to adjust my spine (I have been to other chiropractors and this is normal routine, so I didn't think anything of it.) Unfortunately, the adjustment table was too high and when he went to crack my back, he leaned all of his weight on my right ribcage. I felt my ribs bend and compress. I left there with pain and anxiety, and which I paid $40 dollars for. I then went into an urgent care the next day, they took xrays and thankfully nothing was broken. My left rib cage is now permanently indented though, and I have been having tingling in my legs and feet because of inflammation around my spine. I have not been able to move much or find a comfortable way to rest for 2 weeks. I will not be seeing Anthony Chiropractic again, I'm still processing the fact that I was seriously injured while trying to get an adjustment. I also felt very uncomfortable with him pushing and pulling my legs against the lower and midsection of his body, he had my knee touching his privates. Another thing that I thought was very unprofessional was that when he called me back into the room by saying "Come on in Girl", he could have used my name, that would have made me feel less like cattle. But I don't think he waited to hear what my name was from the check in desk. I felt very unsafe at Anthony Chiropractic in Warsaw, and I will not be going to see him in his new building.
