I attended this festival last month and really enjoyed it! First, the location is just beautiful. It is on SD Bay, surrounded by boats and under the skyline. Normally, I enjoy regular trips to Sonoma and Napa, so I was really looking forward to having all of these wineries in one spot, close to home. Honestly, this festival has so many wineries, from Sonoma, Napa, Temecula and more. I loved how it was not too crowded. The wineries were not stingy, gave us plenty of wine and plenty of information. I was actually amazed and pleased with the shear number of wineries represented. There was also a series of food trucks...nothing amazing, but enough variety so that we were able to find food to our liking to help soak up the wine. Actually, it was really nice to get some food, spread out a blanket, grab a bit of wine and have a little picnic. There were a few tables set up by artists selling crafts and jewelry, though only a few. There were a few cover bands playing. They were OK, but really just served as background music. I think the festival was great...love the number of wineries and the fact that it was not crowded, but it was really a bit more expensive than it was worth: about $60 for admission and $70 for VIP. We did VIP which allowed us early entry and some special wines. I think it was great to do VIP as it allowed us a longer afternoon, but without any known bands and no free food, the price of the festival (even with a 10% promo code) was probably about $20 too much. So, all in all, a great wine fest, and I may go back next time, but just a warning about the price. read more
