I came across a sweatshirt that I really wanted. I don't have any trips planned currently, and thought I would message them to see if they would mind bringing one in my color and size to the festival. They happily accommodated and I got to meet Renee and Julio, who were both lovely. And I got my sweatshirt! It wasn't part of the offerings that day so I felt very lucky to get one. I liked the design of the Hawaiian islands (logo of 808) on the back top in the middle of the shirt, when it arrived the feel of the shirt feels nice as well. Definitely not that hard kind of cotton feel I hate but a little on the softer side. Communication throughout the process was great, shipping and delivery of the product was all within a week. Kinda cool that a postcard was placed in the package thanking me for the purchase and supporting local shops, it also shows who packed it for accuracy, a small 808 sticker and best of all a discount code for buy one get the 2nd 50% off. One shop was Billabong and who could resist a nice blue/green Hawaii shirt for $10 and in my size? Score! The sales floor space was a pleasure to wander around and the folks working the shop were very nice and helpful.

Sometimes I feel like a wild woman, so I thought I'd check out this spot. I was on the hunt for a bikini - Maui has fantastic bikini designers, but I wasn't in the mood to spend $160 per piece. Spending over $300 for a bikini just seems wrong, at least in my book. This shop carries a wide variety of bikinis - especially ones for those over 30 who don't want half of their butt cheeks hanging out. There is even a bargain basket where I scored some bottoms for $10. The patient, helpful owner of the shop helped me score a very cute tropical print bikini that was 50% off. All three pieces came to $71. Score! The shop also carries crystal jewelry and other accessories. It's small but well curated. Highly recommend!

Almost every time I shop at your store, we show our local IDs to get the 20% kama'aina discount. We spend upwards of $600+ every other month in your Kahului and Kihei stores. I am a Kama'aina. I look local. I sound local. I split my time between CA and Hi for work. My work requires me to have a CA drivers license, I shopped at the Kihei store two days ago and the employees recognized me and gave me the 20% Kama'aina discount. Today I shopped at the Kahului store. Before checking out, I asked the two clerks if I could get the Kama'aina discount (20%). Both said yes. After checking out, I looked at my receipt and noticed I only got a 10% discount. I asked the clerk why it wasn't a 20% discount. I shared that I just shopped at the Kihei store and was given the 20% discount because they recognized me as a regular kama'aina. She said there is a new policy at the beginning of the year that Kama'aina without a HI drivers license would only get 10% discount. I immediately asked the clerk to return my items. I told her I'd come right back with someone from my Ohana to get the 20% discount. I was abruptly told that no returns are allowed. I didn't even move 2' and wasn't allowed a return. I get it that rules are made to be enforced because there are malihini that try to get the Kama'aina discounts. But come on - it's clear that I'm a local - who splits his time between CA and HI and has to have a CA drivers license for work. I try to support local whenever I can. I spend a lot of money in your store and am always buying gifts because I like your brand. However, my extended Ohana & I will no longer be supporting your brand. Many of us are long time supporters. Local Kama'aina and tourists were visiting here to get their souvinier. The store is owned by Dianne and managed by Joseph and Maria! The store has a lot of Hawaiian inspired jewelry and clothes! It's packed with Hawaiian attires jewelry, necklaces, charms and just about anything you can think of to remember your visit to Maui. The store is located very close to the cruise ship docking area, so tourists can easily get there and shop! I also liked that the shop had cowrie shells - so you can craft your own necklaces, earrings, and more. They have a great selection of puka shell necklaces, kukui nut necklaces, and shells galore. Prices are very reasonable here! You can tell that the owners here want to provide a freer visit to their shop!' There is tons of parking.
