Ordered a pulled pork sandwich with spicy sauce, and Mac n cheese to go. First, the most important thing was great. The pulled pork was absolutely fantastic. Smokey, with a wonderful bark, and plenty good without sauce. The spicy sauce was also good, though nothing special. I wouldn't buy a bottle to take home, but it does plus the sandwich. The issues were in the details. The interior is run down and dirty, and the kitchen in the waiting area is loud and abrasive. The woman who took my order was friendly, but the seater was rude enough to people coming in it made me uncomfortable. As far as the food, the bun was boring for the sandwich, but the big problem was the Mac n cheese. It had an off-putting texture, like lumpy gravy, and no flavor at all. I'm not sure there was any cheese, and the pasta was incredibly mushy. The pulled pork was good enough I'll probably go again, to support a local business, but it won't be for the atmosphere or sides. read more

They are consistent but not favorite in town but they have the best hours so if you want BBQ they will probably be open for you.

Great food and amazing service at this place.  We ate here after our trip up the Citrus Tower next door.  Don't let the appearance of the outside fool you. Once you step inside, you are greeted and welcomed wholeheartedly.  Every employee there was at the top of their game and super friendly. Very welcoming. We do not get this kind of treatment at the Disney parks, that's for sure (separate reviews on those).  And this place got busy later, too. It's obvious, the management is superb. The ribs just melted in your mouth and off the ribs.  Lots of meat, with very little to no fat. The beans and potato salad were good as well.  My kids loved their dishes too. The service was impeccable. Super friendly, quick, efficient, accommodating, and never pushy.  I highly recommend this place!!! read more

Y'all. I'm just sad that I hadn't been to uncle Kenny's when I first moved to clermont. What a delicious BBQ Joint. The service was also outstanding. Our party (3 people) actually split the three meat plate, and we got an added side. We tried the brisket (chopped), pulled chicken and pulled BBQ pork. All had a nice, smoked flavor. The sides were coleslaw (highly recommend!) and the fried okra (this was subpar compared to everything else but still good) They talked us into the pulled pork egg rolls, which were delicious. And, we split a slice of peanut butter pie for dessert. THAT was yummy! My husband and I want to go back soon to try the other options on the menu. They had so many choices, it was tough to make a decision. What I love most about this place is that it is a hole-in-the-wall Florida BBQ country restaurant. No bells and whistles here. I have been here a few times and have always had the pulled pork. It is delicious. Well, this time I got their special-fried catfish and chose a baked sweet potato and baked beans. I was not disappointed at all! Our table was eager to try the fried pickles. Ordinarily I am just OK with fried pickles. I cannot wait to go back and have some more. They had the perfect pickle inside a really crispy coating and I loved it. Long delicious spears. Only sorry I didn't take a photo. After reading other reviews, I'm game to try the burnt ends and the three meat plate. Don't let this secret spot out of the bag too much. It already gets a good share of business. Ok. First is first. From thee 1980s I'm a Jacks man due to my dad despite them unfortunately being a Florida flag flyer and me a Stater. However, after 7 years in clermont I fInally tried UK despite having been to the citrus tower since I was 5. I will always remain a jacks man (unless Kenny slathers the place with FSU memorabilia). Jk. Each has their own pluses which makes them both great as there are no copies here. This is a review of Kenny not jack. Kenny has some fall off the bone baby back ribs that will make you apologize for the wait if you don't preorder. The sauces are delicious whether you pick vinegar Bbq or mustard Bbq; it really depends on sides you pick to balance flavor. I will say the beans need a bit more Q and the Mac needs a bit more cream but when you balance price with flavor, you have to make up your own mind. The staff is chill and not fake. Leslie brought my food to me and remembered my name despite me going outside right during dinner rush. So ultimately, take a risk, try a sauce, don't just go with what you know. Waitress asked if I'd like to try the special that's only available on Sunday and they sell out..."Burnt Ends" They were amazing! Went here about 2 days ago and I can not get them off my mind. The food is outstanding, the service is amazing, the price is reasonable, but the highlight is the sauces! I got the 3 meat combo which is ribs, pork, and brisket. Everything is so tender and juicy. The ribs actually fall off the bone. I will make this my regular spot. The only downside is the booths need to be reupholstered because they are worn and torn which gives it an image that ownership doesn't care about the place...trust me they care about the food! Uncle Kenny's BBQ and Pizza is amazing. We had the 1/2 slab of ribs which were fall off the bone amazing. Not fatty, quality meat. The BBQ Egg Rolls were so good and highly recommend. The St. Louis style pizza is different with the variety of cheeses but if you like cheese and thin crust you can't go wrong with it.The sides were all great. We had mac & cheese, baked beans, cole slaw, okra, collards. Also, Uncle Kenny was extremely personable and even gave my husband great BBQ tips. Must Try!!! My favorite. Allto favorite bbq. The food is top notch. The beans the service is great, hometown feel. I love it here. I have also gotten catering and that's also well done. Let's start with the first issue: I walk in and none of the staff were wearing masks, during a raging and rising pandemic. None. Both of the cashiers, the multiple people operating and making the food, not a soul, not even a hair net, no gloves, which probably explains the second part of this review. This restaurant not only looks dirty but the food is not even worth the money, it's bland and soggy. I will not forget the comical looks on all the faces of the staff as I walked in with a simple mask on my face, as if a health inspector just arrived. The food: Soggy and nasty, ordered a very light meal, and by midnight we were feeling the consequences of the simple choices that were made in selecting food from a southern "restaurant". St. Louis is home. I spent most of my young adult life there. Uncle Kenny brings a strong BBQ game that bests Pappy's and Sugarfire. My lovely wife even put him above Fox Bro's in Atlanta. Downstairs he has an STL pizza joint. He was kind enough to bring us a sample of his marinara/pizza sauce and a couple of toasted ravioli (It helps if you know the secret STL questions). I am not a fan of STL pizza, but next time I'm getting some. The sauce is better than anything on The Hill. Speaking of sauces, I normally do not like Carolina Mustard sauce, but he converted me. The other three sauces were spot on. My only sadness with this visit is that I was too late for Ooey Gooey Butter cake. We will definitely be back...multiple times. read more

I'd go 3.5 stars if I could. This place is decent, but their pork has too much sauce on it as served/prepared. I'd prefer not to have it brown from BBQ sauce when I even get it. Brisket's decent. I do have to try the beef ribs here; I have not, but they are well reviewed in other reviews. They also have specials not on the regular menu. I tend to get them when I see them and I've been satisfied when I got those. There are other BBQ joints in the Clermont/Minneola area I prefer for pork or turkey, but I come back here sometimes for variety. read more

Just had lunch at Uncle Kenny's and it was pretty darn good. I had the sausage and fries basket; half a pound of sausage and nice hot fries. Uncle Kenny's hot barbecue sauce was as advertised, nice and hot, but also had a rich BBQ taste of brown sugar and molasses. My dining partner had the Wednesday special of smoked turkey breast. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We met Uncle Kenny who was working in his kitchen and he paused to chat with us for a moment. He has won over 200 awards for his BBQ, many of them on display in his back dining room. He did tell us that brisket is his specialty so guess what we are having the next time we visit. read more

We were expecting a lot after reading reviews, and they really delivered. We went with BBQ pork egg rolls, and a 3 meat platter(pork,brisket, ribs,slaw, fried okra). The egg rolls are a destination item, crunchy and very tasty. We were impressed with the shredded pork and brisket but ribs were less than stellar. Not bad but a little over done. My first visit here (some time ago as the original review has disappeared) was for a full rack of ribs special. The entree put in front of me was a full rack, but in length only. Never before have I seen such short stubby ribs. Sorry that doesn't equal a full rack in my book so the special wasn't really a special was it? (wish I'd had my camera) As for the rest of the meal, why bother when you can get this upset before the first bite? read more

I never went to their old location on 50 in Winter Garden, this review is for their new location in Clermont near the Citrus tower. This place is phenomenal. I have had chicken, pulled pork, beans, okra, potato salad, and all of their sauces. They knock it out of the park on all of it. This is the best barbecue I have had since moving to central Florida. I am a Tennessee boy and a barbecue snob, and I've been aching for some barbecue like Kenny's. The pork has some spices cooked into it and is entirely edible without sauce on it. We asked if they would chop up some chicken for us as they don't have pulled chicken, and they were happy to do that for us. I preferred the pork, but the chicken had some excellent flavor as well. The sides went nicely with the meat, and the sauce was absolutely perfect. Their standard sauce was good enough, but when I threw some of their spicy in the mix, it put it over the top. It has plenty of kick but not so much that it detracts from the flavor. We ordered a bunch of food to go with football on Saturday morning right after they opened, and it was all fresh and amazing. I'll be hitting this place up again. In fact, I haven't planned dinner for tonight yet, and I'm getting a BBQ craving now... read more

OMG! Delish! We were out for a fun day of wine tasting and then swung by the citrus tower in Clermont and in the same parking lot, like a sign from above, there was Uncle Kenny's BBQ just waiting for us. We ordered the rib basket and also started off with the BBQ version of an egg roll. Don't be scared, the egg roll was stuffed with pork and slaw and absolutely wonderful. The ribs were some of the tastiest I've had. Uncle Kenny makes his own sauces and also competes on a national level, with quite a nice ranking. He came out and talked to us about his food, himself and even brought us a taste of his melt-in-your-mouth brisket. On Tuesday's they have beef ribs too! I wish Uncle Kenny's was a little bit closer to us, but we'll certainly be making the drive. It's so worth it. And hey, Uncle Kenny, some cold beers would go great with the BBQ - we'll be keeping an eye out for that ;) He's also got plans to expand and add some new equipment - especially so he can cook up some collard greens to go with that bbq.
