This plan seemed to work well and is highly recommended. The experience - located on the south east corner or Livernois and 7 Mile the place is easy to spot as it shares the building with Bakers Keyboard Lounge. While there is a food truck parked in the lot, food was actually being served from a pick up window inside a tiny vestibule. The method was a bit unorganized but the friendliness the staff made this easy to overlook. The food tastes just as good as it looks. The menu selections are creative and feature the famous "gripper" sandwiches which are stacked and piled high with yummy goodness. If you've been ogling the food pics on social media like I have, you should go on in and try it. You will not be disappointed.

What would be more efficient is to simply walk the food to customers cars similar to restaurants like chili's this will keep the traffic at a minimum and keep it flowing. There were a lot of traffic which is good for business. Social distancing was reinforced. Most workers wore mask. However a few workers did not wear mask correctly. The food prices were decent. The sandwich was good but they forgot my fries. I would try again after covid

Ate some yummy food catered by Edibles Rex…read more Service is good, kept the food coming, plates cleared off of our tables. Salmon, chicken, asparagus, arugula salad, mostaccioli assorted yummy breads, a variety of delicious mini desserts, infused waters, coffee, beers and mixed drinks too. The spinach and arugula and mango salad was simple, but tasty. The chilled orange scented asparagus was citrusy and quite yummy. The soy glazed salmon was worth two pieces. The lemon square bite was well worth a few more bites. The brownies, raspberry cheesecake bites and chocolate mousse were a good finish. The raspberry bars weren't my jam though All of the breads were carb worthy, as were the desserts. The deviled eggs were simple, but good. The chicken piccata was moist, capers are always a good pairing. The mostaccioli was a bit soft, but for the most part, it was still flavorful and carby.

I had a little trouble explaining what this place was when asked, so I went to the website to see…read morehow they explained it themselves.... "It's not everyday that a fully-equipped professional mega kitchen with an event space becomes available to the community. Today is that day. Take a class, teach a class, host an event, test equipment, create beautiful menus, eat a great meal, grow a food business and more. The Great Lakes Culinary Center was created to build culinary dreams and fuel food passions. With absolutely everything located under one roof; the Great Lakes Culinary Center is destined to become the favorite new "food place to be". Venue Features Thousands of square feet of usable space, with indoor and outdoor seating options. - Fully equipped kitchen with specialized cooking features. - Seats up to 150 people. - Holds up to 200 seated and strolling guests. = Tables, linens, stemware, china and buffet service equipment available for rental Menus available soon!" Well, that sort of paints a picture of what to expect, but not EXACTLY. This spot sells high-end commercial kitchen equipment. Customers can come to this site to test the equipment in the kitchen, the dish room and/or the bar. That's cool. Actually, it's really cool. What they don't explain (exactly) is this is also event space. So if said commercial customers want to bring in a big staff of people to check it/test it out, they could. That's cool too. And again, what isn't exactly clear, is that if you just want a cool place for an event, they are available for rentals! Top notch chefs, using top notch equipment for your next event. SO. VERY. COOL. And it just keeps getting cooler. They recently added a completely organic food-to-table garden along side the building. I am loving this place! The women who run the gardens (Carol Shapiro Havis of TheraGardens) also do special programs and events on healthy eating, organic gardening and more. I brought a group of 25 people to check out the facility, hear the background of the company and the building and how they are constantly expanding their focus and had a tour of the gardens. They even set up a little planting station for everyone to plant and take home a little sunflower or snap pea. And the price was REASONABLE. I highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for a cool venue. Or if you're looking for high end commercial restaurant equipment. Or if you want to learn a little about organic gardening.

I will start by saying the food was amazing and leading up to our event, everything was great…read more However, after they catered our 270 guests wedding. We would not recommend at all for anyone that has a large guest list like ours. We hired them for our wedding to do family style and we learned after the wedding that hey ended up not giving 40 people's worth (which included one of the main family tables) their 2 other sides we paid for. Then they missed giving vegetables to about 80+ guests and missed 40+ guests for their side of pasta. Mind you we paid for 270 peoples worth and there was about 250 people that attended, giving you an extra 20 people that there should have been "extra" for. The staff was terrible service wise and did not go back to the tables they dropped off their dishes to because if they would have, it would have been clear to every staff member that each table was missing items that we paid for and were never served. On top of not only not receiving certain dishes, they delivered the protein and they waited 30 minutes to deliver the dishes to the table...mind you this was my immediate family that was without food. They tried using the excuse that the layout was confusing, yet it was communicated to them extensively where the main tables would be and who should be served first. We also had our wedding coordinator there whom made herself known to the chef and serving team. Apart from the absolutely terrible service we received, they also arrived 3 hours later than agreed upon which then caused a literal noise disturbance during our ceremony as they arrived right as our car pulled up to walk down the ceremony. It was an absolute horror. This then delayed the grazing table that should have been out and ready for guests after the ceremony... they ended up having the table out almost 1 hour after ceremony was done. They had been unprofessional in communications by denying every single proof we have of their failure to deliver. They made sad excuses and we also had a coordinator, so any questions they had, they could have contacted her as they were in constant communication. They refunded our "tip" which was "not mandatory", but refused to partially refund us for food that was literally not even served to our tables because of them being negligent and unclear planning. The owner Lindsay was not even in attendance and her husband was the one running the event, so of course they will not accept any claims or take any responsibility for their lack of delivering a service we paid for. The owner states her employees said "everything went well", of course they do- her husband is the chef and her mother was there "coordinating" the food. The bias is clear. The disconnect in what staff say occurred and what our guests are telling us, is large and misleading. I wish I could of had a better review as the food was amazing (for my husband and I), yet the experience was absolutely dreadful.

Let me start by saying the communication with Lindsay leading up to our wedding was fantastic. She…read moremade recommendations and tried to be as helpful as possible every meeting we had. With all of that being said, the service at the actual wedding was extremely disappointing. It's a third party serving staff and our wedding had 250 guests. We paid for 270 dinners, family style to be brought out to the tables. We had multiple tables complain about not receiving proteins, side dishes, salads, etc. They had another event that night so I understand the staff was divided but our coordinator had no point of contact and we didn't know Lindsay wasn't going to be there. Most likely due to disorganization and execution, servers were bringing out sides to tables that already received them, and not bringing main dishes, some tables never received salads. It was a mess. I asked for them to make it right after and instead of apologizing and taking accountability, they made excuses and said it was impossible that anything wrong could've happened.
