    Buttermilk pancakes!

I stayed five nights at the Don Cesar, and employee Yvens in Uncle Andy's made my experience here great. He is so welcoming and goes above and beyond with his food and drink service. The shop itself is also very cute with lots of good food and drink options!

After years of trying to get to the Don Cesar, I was finally able to stop in to grab ice cream. Though delicious, it was not so good that it was worth the amount of money. I know it's the Don Cesar but it is still very expensive for what it is. That being said, it was satisfying. I had the strawberry cheesecake ice cream and it was lovely. Once I enter a new tax bracket, I will return.

Some yelped and I came here just to get a small portion of ice cream and go to the beach which is on the other side of the ice cream parlor. We came and met the most genuine individuals working at this parlor. Bill and Bill who have known each other since they were kids gave of us stories of their childhood and how they work hard to improve themselves look out for each other. It was so heartwarming to know that friendship not only can stand the test of time but can make some pretty awesome ice cream. Pro tip: If you go around the closing hour you may get free ice cream and pastries but don't tell anyone!

I was highly impressed at the strategic move of Don Cesar placing Uncle Andy's right when you enter the building from the beach/pool area! What better time to eat ice cream than after some fun in the sun? We came inside for a 4PM vanilla with caramel syrup milkshake. Peterson (? don't know the name) reinforced our indulgence by saying that was a great choice, and he continued to make great small talk with us as he generously gave us what looked like 20 ounces of pure vanilla and caramel bliss. The 16-ounce shake was $8, but that means it's only 50 cents an ounce, so why not?? This shake was so creamy and divine! It was incredibly thiccc and had a plentiful amount of caramel - both in the shake and also on the cup. It was a wonderful way to end our lunch and transition into our food coma!

This is a high quality ice cream shop on the ground floor of the Don CeSar Hotel. You can sample before you buy and they have some fun flavors. It's not cheap but it's a tasty treat and the offerings are rich and delicious. Waffle cones and chocolate dipped waffle cones and sugar cone and classic cones are options. They also have some candy offerings. It's a 50s dinerish type style place. No views, but you can take and walk on the beach.. Enjoy!!!

Open early at 6 am and they have Starbucks!

While staying at the Don Caesar on the ground floor is Uncle Andy's. We visited there to get our morning coffee and a quick lite bite - breakfast bars, toasted bagels ect are available. Ez to grab a hot brew before heading to the beach. Also the ice cream selection is great for a late afternoon snack. Staff is very courteous and friendly - worth visiting to start the day!

One thing that St. Pete beach seems to have a ton of is ice cream shops. This one is tucked into the ground floor of the Don CeSar, in the big pink monolith's shopping arcade. They have a wide variety of locally made ice creams, and you can get sundaes and banana splits as well. My sundae was kinda small - not that I expected anything massive for the price at the Don! Maybe I should get the sundae-in-a-sand-pail option next time. Bonus: there's a Ms. PacMan cocktail table tucked away in the corner, and they also brew Starbucks coffee if you're craving something other than diner-quality java.

If you're staying at The Don CeSar, going here is a no-brainer. But, it's also worth coming here if you're just looking for some good creamy ice cream. After sampling a few, I went with the BLACK RASPBERRY and COOKIES & CREAM. Yes, a bit on the pricier side but I kind of expect that for small batch ice cream. There's no view of the beach from the shop, but you can always take your ice cream out there.

Take me back in time to the old fashioned ice cream parlor with the old flooring of the Don Cesar Hotel and a juke box.

Inside is bright and welcoming but no chairs or tables inside to sit. Staff were fine, not overly friendly. Good menu with lots of different items like floats, Italian ice, milkshakes, and snow cones. Ice cream shops on the other side of town I noticed did not have such a variety. Went with the soft serve that has fruit mixed in on the spot into it. Cool machine that does this all at once, never seen anything like it! The machine takes frozen fruit and blends it right into the soft serve. I went with mango for my fruit, and it didn't disappoint. The ice cream was smooth, fresh, and creamy. Unique item worth a try!

I was actually walking past to a restaurant for an adult meal but when I saw the sign advertising Hawaiian style 'snow capped shaved ice' I kool-aid manned through that door. They had no seating indoors but had a huge selection of cool treats such as (knockoff) dipping dots, lots of ice cream flavors and of course the star of THIS show-shaved ices. I opted for the peach coconilla with vanilla ice cream on the bottom. It was great and my only regret is not getting the large. I will say the staff didn't seem particularly thrilled to be there and I was the only one inside, it was a little uncomfortable..but hey it's summer in Florida and this heat is going to suck the joy out of us all some day.
