Breakfast delivery review. Food came wrapped in heavy duty foil - pro: it was a great temp! Con: it got a little soggy. I appreciate using local vendors but the le bus bagel just wasn't it. I paid a dollar for American cheese and there was maybe a quarter of a thin slice on the sandwich. The scrapple was bomb. I love a hash brown patty but it was a little undercooked and then because of the heavy duty foil it got soggy. I appreciate that they non-soda drinks available, but I wish that any place selling breakfast made orange juice available. read more

Having Umbria Gourmet a block from my house is dangerous! This has been such a welcome addition to this side of Manayunk where we don't have nearly as many food options as you do on Main St. I stopped in the day after they opened and have been here many times since! The staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful, friendly, and just generally thrilled to be there. I def feel like it's a neighborhood joint for sure. Such an awesome variety of foods including upscale and local options! I love that they carry Marchiano's and Pierogi Kitchen in their freezers! They also have your standard corner store chips, drinks, local snacks, and some grocery items plus some nice pastas, sauces, an entire hot sauce wall, etc. The hoagies and sammiches are delicious and I am constantly stalking their FB page to see what the latest special is and I'll usually just go and get that. I have had so many options from standard Italian hoagies to breakfast sammich, to brisket specials, roast pork, and everything in between! I have always been extremely pleased with anything I've gotten here and they are always adding new options (they now have soup, wings, fries, and other specials!). They also have great deli items, I love the mac salad! They used to be cash only which was never an issue for me because they have an ATM on site. But as of last week they now take credit cards! My only complaint is that they are on the pricey side - my hoagie + waffle fries + drink set me back almost $30. But I love supporting a new local business and the pricing has never deterred me - just something to keep in mind. read more

Clean, new, and super friendly! This place is a deli and food shop that also sells other goodies. Italian was solid, on par with the high competition in the area. However, the chicken sharp was odd; they do give a lot of chicken (yum), but one half of the hoagie was insanely, incredibly salty (to the point where it was inedible) while the other half was just fine. ~$30 for two hoagies, which is a little higher than the other delis nearby. Ok we went for the first time I ordered a lot so to try. The brisket fries were amazing overpriced but amazing but my razzmatazz or what ever you call it for $25.00 has one piece of Cheese and a half of a hand full of meat ! This place is great. I've ordered from them at least half a dozen times now, and only once was I unhappy: It was via DoorDash and the owner? Manager? Called me promptly to apologize and offered a comp on my next order even after DD refunded the incorrect item. Everyone has a bad day now and then, and their response was absolutely professional and excellent customer service. Got food again today and they're right back on point. Great local spot. read more

I had been regularly going here because I enjoyed their cold subs and breakfast. My complaints are with the customer service, whether it's vast inconsistencies with the food/service, or them just denying orders "because they're too busy" yet when I walk by they are empty and the employees aren't doing anything. I've always been a happy and tipping customer but I can't support the obvious lack of customer care. I will find sandwiches elsewhere from now on. read more

They sell a turkey hoagie but it's basically a turkey sandwich. You apparently have to define LTO. That's not a hoagie, that's a turkey sandwich with cheese. Plus it was super dry, no mayo like submitted. They just lost a customer. read more

I honestly believe every good review for this place is paid for. We gave them two chances. First time we ordered a chicken salad sub and the smoked bbq brisket sandwich. The chicken salad had nothing identifiable as chicken other than the joint scraps. Not fun to chew on. It was shredded to death, over mayo'ed and severely under seasoned. The brisket was both dry and over moist at the same time. My husband ate a couple of bites and threw the rest out. I thought we must have ordered the wrong things, given the awesome reviews, the first time so we tried again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. We ordered a basic cold turkey sub, chicken parm sub, and brisket sub. Cold sub was fine. It arrived with partially soggy bread even though it only took about 30 minutes from order to delivery. Still, just fine. Husband did not like his brisket sub. It literally tasted like nothing. The worst thing though was the "chicken" parm sub. We ordered it for our young son b/c he usually likes them, but this was a disgrace. There was a big pile of "something" under the glossy cheese, but that something was about 30% chicken and 70% greasy breading. The chicken was pounded so thin that it was unidentifiable. It tasted like old, burnt fryer oil. I can't express enough how disgusting this sub was. Never again. read more

I live nearby and have been here a handful of times since they opened. Can't miss on their cold hoagies. Meat and bread are high quality. Their marinara is a bit sweet for me on their hot sandwiches. Desserts are good too! My personal favorites are the strawberry shortcake cups and the cinnamon buns. Make sure to microwave the cinnamon bun 15-20 secs. read more
