Goodwill - Things were pretty overpriced. Used to be able to get a t-shirt for $2.99!

We went to this area from a nearby orchard. Wanted to see what goodwill in this place looks like…read more Some prices are epensive. But can still find better prices on some items. Store need some cleaning but overall its great.

SERVICE Younger/teen guy helped me out at register. Friendly…read more& casual demeanor. Manager didn't leave a great impression. Store itself was a decent size & relatively clean. VALUE When the cashier asked a manager about a discount, due to a bag being stained & dirty, she got very snippy & sharply told him "NO, it's already discounted. Doesn't matter if it's dirty." I assume they get asked for discounts a lot or something based on her irritated tone & attitude, since there's much nicer ways to say that. To speak to him so harshly in front of a customer was really unexpected. But this store really is one of the most expensive ones I've ever shopped at. I saw a lot of t-shirts, figurines/decor, & purses that were at least $8.99. This stuff is brought to them & donated for free, yet they still want to get as much money as they can out of it. I would not recommend this location if you're hoping to buy a lot of items, or if you have a lower budget (which is crazy since it's a thrift store). SELECTION Went looking for baby clothes & they didn't seem to have many at all. They were also mixed into regular kids' clothing, so finding any infant sizes was already difficult too. Not many toys either. Mens' t-shirts were kind of well stocked & organized. They had loads of jackets & coats, but it's summer time. Small-ish movie selection. Good sized purse wall. Spotted a few name brand things, but it was a shame seeing most of them increased to $9.99+. A lot of Precious Moments figures, all around $4-$5 a piece. Some Columbia, Nike, & Carhartt. TLDR; Would not recommend/won't be returning. Overpriced for used items. Unfavorable manager.

I believe salvation army actually has a real mission above goodwill's mission of "training" employees to work in their store and having a ceo that makes millions, so I feel better donating to the SA. It is a mixed bag of prices, and seems they are getting more and more into "brand" pricing the clothing.. which can get extreme and unreasonable if there isn't a sale going on. Goodwill for the most part has flat rate pricing. Still, basic items like tees are much cheaper at SA, not really keen on paying $5 for a used old navy tee that I wear for gardening. I think it is a decent location, larger and more furniture selection that the nearby goodwill stores. I do think more people should shop resale, and if its not your cup of tea at least donate the stuff you spent all your money on and wore once so I can get it for a fraction of the cost. But in all seriousness, there is so much waste in this country, it is almost as easy to donate usable items than it is to toss them in the trash.

But I donate them here hoping to give them to someone who will get some use out of them and provide the jobs that the store provides. That said, it is a cr*ppy operation. With a sign that clearly states donations accepted until 6:30 p.m. but when you walk in you're told they stopped accepting at 5:30 because their hours are different. The sign out front still says 6:30 and they would not take my two boxes. So I will not be donating there anymore. I'll go down the street to Goodwill

The staff was friendly and helpful. I was blessed to have been helped by Arthur himself. Very knowledgeable in the history of all things numismatic. Picked up a couple of items including some vintage gold and a vintage grease bar from the 1970s. The pricing was very reasonable as he will look the price up online along side you and discount it by a certain percentage. To be fair they need to make a profit. The shop is a treasure trove of goodies and part museum. Lots of history in that small retail space. Highly suggest to call before visiting especially if you are looking for something specific or selling a lot of items. Be patient with the staff as they are detailed and meticulous with their work. I went to a large local coin show that day and ended up with nothing, but the trip to Knight Coin more than made up for it. Happy Hunting fellow knights!!
