My Polish friend took me here for dinner one weekday evening. She said it's the only Polish restaurant in Oslo. I asked her if the food tastes like in Poland and she said yes and the only better version is the one her grandmother makes. This comment confirms the authenticity of the food for me.
There were five of us and it wasn't too crowded that Thursday. We got a table immediately and ordered beer. The server described the food patiently.
The food was amazing; the pierogi was the highlight. We preferred the pierogi without meat, only cheese and potatoes. The meat version was very ground up so it had the consistency (and taste) of tuna fish. The cabbage rolls were so delicious; I wish I'd left more room and didn't fill up on pierogi. I was very pleased with the food.
We ended the meal with vodka shots. They don't have any of the varieties with nuts or fruit, but they brought out an apple juice with the vodka. read more
