Dr. Olej Krijanovski in my opinion is one of the best hematology oncologists in the Bay Area…read more I met Dr. Oleg Krijanovski (they call him Dr. "K") in October of 2025, after my hematologist told me she wanted to transfer my care to him because he is a specialist in his field and has vast experience and knowledge in advanced treatment therapies for blood disorders. It was a difficult time for me. The medication I took (hydroxyurea) that controlled by blood platelets since 2012, stopped working. My hematologist recommended that I consult with Dr. Oleg Krijanovski, and to prepare for the meeting she gave me a pamphlet to read about a drug called Besremi - an injectable interferon therapy used to treat various blood disorders. I entered the meeting with Dr. Oleg Krijanovski feeling extreme anxiety and uncertainty and left the meeting with all my questions answered, feeling heard, and feeling hopeful. He was easy to talk to, respectful and showed empathy. The doctor also has an amazing team that works together to provide excellent patient care. Four months into my new health journey, I feel very fortunate and blessed that Dr. Oleg Krijanovski is my doctor.

Dr. Behl first saw my husband as an inpatient at Summit/Alta Bates Hospital after he was transported by ambulance and his labs returned abnormal. With Dr. Behl's experience, knowledge, and brilliance, he quickly diagnosed my husband with a rare blood disorder, and he was abreast of the latest research and determined the best treatment options. I especially appreciated Dr. Behl and his team's attention to detail; they reviewed and monitored his medical history to ensure they considered all systems. My husband was in the hospital for six weeks, and the bottom line is Dr. Behl and his team cured my husband. I don't think my husband would be alive if someone else had been taking care of him. Initially, when we heard of his rare diagnosis, we contemplated transferring to one of the large academic centers. I want to add that many in our family are medical providers, so we look more critically at our care. From the complimentary valet parking and super helpful parking attendants to the receptionist who greets you by name, the medical assistants, phlebotomists, nurses, the scheduling crew, and the excellent physicians, everyone is top-notch; handoffs are seamless. If we or a family member ever need this type of care again, we will return for treatment at the Alta Bates/Summit Comprehensive Cancer Center in a heartbeat. Then he said - I need to call for an ENT Specialist. I complained of hunger and needing to leave to Eat Lunch. No Food was offered. Yet another 30 mins. wait for Discharge. It's very hard to find a doctor in our busy world who takes time with a patient and looks at the whole picture , has wonderful diagnostic skills, elegant and compassionate bedside manner. After seeing other specialists in SF, Dr. Reier was spot on with her diagnosis and I felt that my daughter was in perfect hands under her care.
