The owner Jerry was…read moreas nice as could be when we were talking about prices to fix the transmission however I had a problem a month later that I didn't know was a very simple fix. I had the vehicle towed to the business and apparently all it took was shifting something into gear and I'm not a mechanic and was not aware of it. Jerry called me the next day and said there was nothing wrong with it all it needed was that simple fix. I apologized for my ignorance of that and also wasting his time, he proceeded to hang up in my ear. I was so angry that I had to have someone else go pick up the vehicle. If you want to get something fixed I guess he does a good job but if there is a problem afterwards it seems to piss him off, so I wouldn't recommend going there; find someone who is nicer and friendlier regardless of the circumstances.

They got me in, were exceptionally nice and walked me step by step as to what they needed to do. After dealing with a major dealer in hopes they could get me back on the road, these guys took up the slack where others dropped. I cannot thank them enough for getting me in, overnighting a part and able to get me back on the road within a couple of days. It wasn't on my agenda to spend three nights in two different hotels and to have the expense of the hotel but on my truck as well, but the folks at Aamco were top notch. I am now getting ready to head home and decompress after an eventful four days, and I owe my remaining sanity to Mark and Chris at Aamco. Thanks, guys--much appreciative of your work and patience.

We called our insurance company and asked about roadside service. They said they'd get a tow truck to us. Well, we waited on the side of the road for 5 1/2 hours before they showed up. But that's a different review. But I wanted to set the stage regarding our urgency to get moving again. The trip should have taken us 6-7 hours. So finally, after the tow arrived we were on our way. They pulled us up in front of an establishment and we went inside to see about repairs and time. We were told it would be Monday (the day the rodeo ends) before they could look at it. Oh, the deflated hearts were terrible. Then someone showed up in the parking lot and we were sharing our story with them. They said, well, we're pretty slammed too, but let's get it down to our shop and we'll take a look. These men were from Straight Arrow Transmission just down the way on the other side of the parking area. They even got their own vehicle to pull the now disconnected trailer and golfl cart there too. After some diagnostic work, they suspected the coil was bad. Odd, because I'd replaced it a few months earlier. But, as it turns out they actually had a same model donor vehicle right there. So they pulled the coil from that vehicle and put it in mine to test. Sure enough, it fired right up. Then they contacted their vendor and had them deliver a brand new coil. When it arrived, they installed it and checked the truck out. All was great! Total time onsite was just under an hour. You don't often find folks who will stop what they're doing to help a traveler. But these folks did. They did it fast, they did it right and with laughs and smiles. This is the kind of stuff you look for when needing professional mechanical help. Great job guys! Sorry it took me so long to get this review.

They don't know, but I suffered the death of my oldest this year so having my other kids stranded in a different state was terrifying. I can never express the amount of gratitude I have for their kindness and willingness to watch out for a stranger's kids. They were so honest when I insisted on a replacing a part that really wasn't necessary they let me know and put my mind at ease when they checked it told me why I didn't need to replace it.
