100% would not recommend based on our family's experience. My sister was planning her wedding while…read morepregnant and was under a lot of stress throughout the process. She repeatedly expressed feeling like she was handling much of the planning responsibilities herself despite hiring a wedding planner. There were also questions directed to my sister regarding responsibilities such as steaming tablecloths, cleanup, and logistics for ice/cooler storage, which added confusion and additional stress because these were tasks she believed would be handled as part of the planning/coordinating services. Payment had been made in full by the end of April, and approximately 40 days before the wedding, services were withdrawn after a family member contacted her to ask for updates on the planning progress. Since then, communication regarding refunds and coordination during the transition to finding a replacement planner has been limited, which has made an already difficult situation more stressful. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, especially given the timing so close to the wedding. I tried posting this on her facebook to warn others and in return i was blocked.

Please beware of who you are "hiring" and how they may act towards your guests on your special day.

Julie and Zach were our day of coordinators and they were fantastic. There was great communication…read moreahead of time and Julie never made me feel like any of my questions were dumb. She gave great advice but also went with what we wanted. At the rehearsal and on the day she was on top of it. She made sure things ran seamlessly but that it fit the flow of the wedding, not just sticking to a schedule. They helped make sure decor was how it was meant to be and helped get things ready for cleanup. When stress got high Julie was ready to step in and help dissipate the tension. They were fantastic and I can't imagine our day going as well without them.

Do not use this DJ service -- it was the most unprofessional vendor we have ever hired. The owner…read morepresents himself as offering a discount for paying upfront, but in our experience, this appeared to be a tactic to secure full payment before the event. He then sent an employee who arrived with her boyfriend; both appeared to be under the influence of a substance (not alcohol) and behaved unprofessionally throughout. The DJ arrived late and did not start playing music until 50 minutes after the contracted start time, violating the 4-hour service agreement. Several guests -- many of whom are medical professionals -- noticed and commented on their impaired appearance. The DJ frequently cut songs mid-way, skipped over half of the requested playlist, and at one point asked for our Wi-Fi access so she and her boyfriend could sit in the van and play music remotely. Rather than making up for the lost time, they ended the service promptly at 4:00 p.m., took food from the party, and left. When contacted about these issues, the owner dismissed our concerns because he was not present, refused to take responsibility for his employee's conduct, and initially offered to refund half the payment. He later reversed that offer, citing irrelevant reasons such as the tip amount and untrue claims that we threatened him. Our request was simple -- reimbursement for the hour of service we paid for but did not receive. The owner refused. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this business. Also Todd never addresses the real concerns and deflects to irrelevant issues. He will insult you how you planned your party attempting to provoke a reaction from you. He is a shady person and would not advise anyone using his services.

Not only did he give us a discount from the regular price and waived the extra charge for a 4x6 print, he also went above and beyond by drafting an alternative design to the photo strip we sent him from our previous vendor that better complemented our color scheme and vision. The booth attendant was very friendly, helpful and they provided a wide assortment of excellent superhero props. Everyone in the photo got a photo strip and we also got physical copies of all the photos that we were in at the end of the night and a digital album of all the photos that were taken that day. Thank you again Shining Star Photo Booth for working with us on such short notice and being a seamless part of our big day!!
