I was initially placed with someone else in the agency but was picked up by Regina since the previous person did not keep in contact with me. I was placed on an assignment with an engineering company and was let go. I was initially told by Regina AND the engineering company that it was due to lack of work. My days with the engineering company consisted of me asking for work to do and waiting around all day/week for work. I've reached out to Regina to ask for a new assignment but was told to stay with the company because they "really liked me" and "they're a great company". However, I'm now being told otherwise. After my departure from the Engineering company, I applied for EDD benefits, reason being: lack of work. Now I am told I will be losing my benefits as it was not due to lack of work as I was told. It's due to my performance. I reached back to Regina and was told "she had reached out to the company again after my assignment ended and was told they've changed their reasoning from lack of work to performance issues." All this which I was not notified of. Not from Regina, not from the engineering company while I was there. I find this very unprofessional as someone, ANYONE could've told me the truth but here we are going back and forth playing the blame game. Don't get me wrong, Regina is VERY nice and attentive but this whole situation is unacceptable and unprofessional. As Regina being my recruiter, I would've expected to be updated about this information and now I'll be losing my benefits and having to reimburse unemployment all because I wasn't told "they've changed their mind on their reason" whether it's the truth or not, I DON'T KNOW. read more

I would not go here. I got placed at one site where I was fired in two days because of a personal conflict with another co worker who was on maternity leave and fired due to her getting the job before I did. Second placement was an interview super far away from me and I had trouble getting there but had a panic attack due to the high traffic in that area. I lost my phones and called them back when I had my new phone (a month later cus uhh hello no job no money) and the receptionist Nicole answered like a drawn out robot and told me they could not assist me due to some of the comment Katie input. Would not recommend. Plus you will get bombarded with phone calls and make you ask your employer robotic questions you need to answer on their training site. This was my experience and a total let down after the first try and it being my first job back since maternity leave ended. read more

What can't I say about this company? The most ease filled experience I have ever had looking for a job. I lost my job in March due to covid and graduated college a few months after. Finding a job post college is hard enough, but add covid and it can feel hopeless. I would rate ultimate staffing 3.5, but I will round up to 4 stars. I didn't apply with the temp agency itself, but for a job posting they had. This was at the beginning of COVID. I applied and got hired for the position right away. My recruiter was Katie and I do feel she was attentive and available when I had questions or concerns. My issue was that on the job posting itself it said temp to hire but I was actually a temp for 9 months and the company was pretty clear towards the end that they did not plan on hiring me on, but would instead keep me on long term as a temp. As most I was not really interested in continuing to work with no benefits as well as no raises. I have my suspicions unto why but I won't get into that. I did reach out to the agency for another opportunity but they were not really willing to do that. I ended up finding a permanent position on my own with full benefits and better pay. read more

After doing all the testings (Typing, MS Office, Excel) and scoring very high on the tests (and also mentioning that I have a degree and over 12+ years of management/customer services/logistics experience), I contacted with Nicole and went in for an "interview" for an administration position. To my amaze, she was not there to conduct the interview and had someone else who knew nothing about my skills/background conduct the interview instead. Thus, after a month's time, she finally gave me a call, today, and offered me a warehouse job for minimum wage... Really?!?!............................................... I would not recommend this staffing firm to anyone who is serious about their future and have experience/entry level degrees under their belt. My recommendation for you is to search online through job sites (monster.com, etc), network with professionals, find someone to edit your resume if needed---and avoid this firm at all cost. Don't waste your time with their "evaluations/tests" when it seems as though it doesn't matter whether you did great or poor. Do a little bit of research, connect with people who share the same goals, and get that career yourself. In my case, I did---and without this firm! read more

Well, I don't know how others have received such fast responses from this agency, but I put in a resume and had an interview with them about a month ago. I have been calling in and checking like they asked, but no bites. I have two degrees from UC Davis and I am pretty open so I am not sure what the issue is or if there is just nothing that fits me right now. I guess my point is, it seems like lots of reviews say that this place works magic in days, but I really think you should expect a waiting period unless you want a $15/hr entry level job. I already have that so I wanted to see if I could expand my career and earn more. The staff is very friendly and upbeat. The office is nice and professional. I had a great experience with everyone and wouldn't hesitate to do business with them in the future; I am just kind of disappointed after reading all the glowing reviews that not even a little something has come up by now :( read more

I'm here to share my experience. I was at a standstill in my career, moved to Arizona and moved back to Michigan. I was getting job opportunities but just did not want to do the same thing I've been doing for 6 years. My experience with Ultimate staffing has been amazing. Two weeks ago, I sent an application for Ultimate Staffing Services, and later the same day I received a call from Nicole. Nicole had reviewed my resume, and had asked to meet with her the very next week. The week I came in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Nicole had asked a few questions regards to my interest, but made sure she met everything I was looking for in a job. After I met with her and took a few tests, I met with Beth who is just as amazing! Beth had also reviewed my resume and asked if I would be interested in a company who matched my experience along with my interests. She set up a phone interview for me two days later with that company, and after my phone interview, I was scheduled to meet in person with that company the following week. After I met with the company, the same day I was offered the position. Nicole and Beth have been outstanding! Note: If you take the Typing, Excel, Microsoft word tests at their location, DO NOT hit the button with the crescent moon symbol towards the right side of the keyboard. It'll turn off your computer and log you out. Note #2: Don't attempt the password more that 3 times while trying to log back in. She is also very involved in the whole process which is something I never had experienced before with other staffing agencies. She contacted me the moment I walked out of the company interview to see how it went. She even followed up with me after my first day and the week after just to check up. I love her positive energy and her guidance. In addition, she gave me some great pointers along the way which were very beneficial. I came in for an interview 2 days after that, and by the end of the week I was set up with a temporary job assignment. Everyone I met, especially Darrel, was very helpful and friendly. This office, in my humble opinion is extremely unprofessional. I worked with Ultimate in so cal and had an entirely different experience. They got me a job right away, no BS and I stayed with the client for years. Here, I was initially called to do a SERIES of interviews by what it seemed the entire team. (Not literally but it was 5 women back to back asking me the same questions. They didn't have a job for me at the time... Weeks later I get a call from my recruiter and got an interview. Did 3 sets of interviews with the company and, unfortunately for me didn't get the job. Wasn't even asked if I'd be interested in another assignment - just offered me a week long contract job, which to me was a bit insulting. MONTHS later I get a call from my recruiter, asking me if I'm available, and that same client is interested in me. So I do the interview and NOTHING. No call from my recruiter, no follow up, she literally dropped me off of the face of the planet. Go to Aerotek- they don't mess around or beat around the bush. read more
