Here's another review for a different "Ulta Beauty" location. It's now overdue from a past quick shopping trip back on June 25th. I was naturally in this area shopping at a few other stores. This store is located in the Chesterfield Waterside Mall by Bed Bath and Beyond (next door). I received a flyer magazine in the mail which helped me know what was on sale, and to make my quick purchase. Buy 2 and Get 1 Free. My purchase = 2 L'oreal Volume Superstar Primer+ Extended Black Mascara which were on sale even more when I walked in the store. So instead of $10.99, my price was $6.90. MY EYES LIT UP to see the sale sign besides. My free item = 4 ounce bottle of L'oreal Infallible Pro Max extended makeup set spray A big smile on my face when checking out! Cashier "Tatiana" was very pleasant to chat with me and signed me up for my rewards, that I was given my choice of a "free lipstick". Friendly staff, and helpful when a customer needs help finding something. Ulta has good sales. If you are a frequent shopper it pays to get their rewards credit card. The rewards program gives points for the purchases at Ulta and credit card also gives points when you use it else where. Collect points and get money back to use on your purchases at Ulta. The salon prices are typical and also vary on the stylist expertise. You can call or use Ulta's website to make an appointment. Right now, salon and eyebrow bar are by appointment only. So overall, Ulta is a good place for your makeup ,hair or skin needs. read more

OKAY JUSTIN S. I hardly ever let anyone new do my hair, but I am so happy that I did. Justin did an AMAZING JOB dying my hair. There was a little bit of a overbooking issue, which was not his fault at all, but he made it work and hustled to make sure everyone's hair goals were met. I am really impressed with how great my hair turned out. I highly recommend booking with Justin :) he really knows what he is doing when it comes to hair! I want to show everyone how nice it looks. I had a brow appointment this afternoon with Sarina and it was wonderful!! She not only did a great job cleaning up my eyebrows and help shape them but she is so sweet! As soon as I sat down I felt like I was talking with a friend. She took her time to make sure I liked the shape and that I was happy with her services but she also is just a really great human. I have been to SO many different salons in the area, and haven't had luck getting these red/brassy tones out of my hair. I also have a ton of greys that I wanted to blend in naturally. Love everything about the staff and quality of customer service in this facility. The bathroom was clean upon my arrival and the store seemed spotless. I was greeted and assisted as I entered the store, and multiple associates were able to help me find all the items I needed including things go so well together. Awesome store!!! read more

Went here to get my free birthday NARS lipstick, I asked an employee while I was shopping how I get it, she went and asked a girl at check out and came back and told me they have them at the counter. So I grabbed one small thing to purchase, get to check out and ask for the lipstick. Same girl tells me they're out, but we can offer you a Clinique chubby stick instead. I'm like uhh that's not what I wanted but ok. She goes to grab it and they're also out of those. Basically says oopsy, don't know what to tell ya! Wtf read more

They're awesome in here! The manager is super helpful, has been there a few years and is quite knowledgeable and kind to all the employees (I wish I knew her name so I could give her a proper shoutout). One girl who was working the floor today (again, wish I knew her name) was SO helpful, went above and beyond. She was trying to help me find a replacement foundation since mine was discontinued and spent at least 10 minutes sampling shades on her hand and helping to try and match me (not easy when I have a spray tan setting in and she doesn't even really know what she's matching - but she did it!). They also have a lot of "mini" versions of things near their check out counters. So if you're unsure about buying something full size definitely look over there to see if there's a mini or ask one of the girls who always seem to know what products are over there. I found a mini shape tape, mini Clinique "Take Off the Day" Balm, mini Too Faced lipglosses, and a TON of others (all prestige/quality brands and stuff people ACTUALLY want to try). Love coming in here! P.S. - I recommend looking out for their jumbo hair care sale. It's usually twice a year and totally worth it! read more

I feel it necessary to bring an issue to your attention regarding the Ulta salon at the Chesterfield, Michigan location. I went in to get a quote on having something done to my hair that would allow me to ease into the grey coming in and a few inches trimmed off the ends. The salon manager suggested highlights and quoted $150. Despite feeling this was expensive I agreed and set an appointment for last Friday, even though it meant I would have to change work plans and take off part of my work-day. I came in for the appointment, she set me down, put the mantle around me and suggested to darken half of my hair underneath and highlight the outer half. I told her I trusted her suggestion. Then she said it would cost more; $150 more! And it would cost an additional $52 to trim a few inches...mind you no style, just cutting off a few inches straight across. Why did she not say it was an additional $52 for a trim when she gave me the quote?!!!! The whole thing was ridiculous to think of being charged over $300!!! It was also interesting that she was interrupted after the suggestion, before giving me the price increase, to cut someone elses hair. It seems she simply wanted to get rid of me! I feel an obligation to share this with the public on whatever internet reviews are possible. I would not want anyone else to go through that. read more

Ulta opened their salon 2 and a half hours early for me on a Saturday when I desperately needed them to help get me ready for a wedding. They were very accommodating and I received many compliments about my hair and makeup that evening. read more

If I could give this location a zero rating I would.I went to this location 2.21.2019 a young lady by the name of Antonina was absolutely racist.How does a company hire someone who isn't educated in the make-up industry? This location is in a diverse area.If you felt uncomfortable with matching a African American woman perhaps you should have asked another co-worker to assist me.How does someone get away with calling me colored? I have contacted the store this morning.I spoke with a mgr.and her excuse was that she knows her and sometimes doesn't know how to word things and she highly doubts she meant any harm.I'm sorry that doesn't justify the fact that your employee Antonina has never matched a "Colored" person before.This young lady made it clear that she was proud of herself that she matched someone with dark skin .Her exact words"I'm so proud of myself I have never matched ya know what i'm saying colored skin" I thanked her for her help and held my composure I have never felt so disrespected in my entire life read more

Employees try to make up for the stores uselessness by being the most annoying group of "consultants" ive ever dealt with. Dont think youll be able to browse and check out products without being constantly barraged with sales pitches and unwanted advice. Was once literally followed around the store while she tried to impress me with her knowledge. Ulta in itself is useless. You can get cheap makeup from walmart and everything else from sephora. I love Ulta. I especially love their point system where you can actually earn cash off your bill, unlike Sephora where all your points earn are samples which should be free anyway and are all but useless. I only go to Sephora for their eye makeup remover and makeup brushes or anything Ulta may not carry. read more
