On the day of the appointment, I walked in to her business. She was talking with a nail technician. She turned around and instead of greeting me she said, " your room is ready." I was taken aback as she didn't greet and acknowledge me in a proper manner. I went to the "room" and waited a few minutes before she came in. She proceeded to "shape" my eyebrows while talking about her father dating younger women! She ultimately left me with half an eyebrow! She tinted them and tried to hide the mistake and I didn't notice until I got home. For that, I paid full price. I then stated to the nail technician that I was going to pick my color for my pedicure and she quickly told me I didn't have an appointment! The owner heard and quickly got on her cell phone to call another technician in. What a fiasco! Not only is this place unprofessional, the owner is not a true businesswoman. Her customer service skills are appalling! Her conversations are inappropriate and her "waxroom" is dirty. I will never go back to that pit of a salon. Mediocre service in all areas. She'd be better off closing and pursuing other endeavors. Her appearance was not professional. I am sickened!

With her recommendations it has gone from sad and lifeless to moist bouncy curls and I have already seen some regrowth. Today, I was treated to two hours of pampering ... first at the head spa and then our usual cut and style time. The head spa was a relaxing retreat ... my hair and face were given deep moisturizing ... I could feel my face soaking in the moisture from the mask as if it were having a nice drink. My facial skin is very reactive to allergies and I had zero trouble with today's treatment because Joelle is very particular about getting natural beauty products in that enhance without any harsh, unnatural ingredients. My hair really enjoyed a deep moisturizing while I relaxed with a lovely head and shoulder massage. I know there is a step or two I'm leaving out here but let's suffice it to say it was a lovely experience in a relaxing setting that left my scalp visibly refreshed. Awesome job as always. What I mean is not having to come see her every 6 to 8 weeks. She said great let's do this and she did it. And all in a reasonable price. She has continued to add flare to my hair. I went from doing just a simple baulyage to do bright colors going reds to purple to even blue and green. And when I did the blue and green, I told her I wanted to do russian roulette with my hair. And now I stick with purple because that is what I love, and I let her do her magic. Oh, and did I say I get tons of compliments on my hair. Even when it's 4 months old, when I am stretching out the color so I don't need to go see her.

She was welcoming and easy going. I called to make a hair cut appointment (my first visit) in 2025, I was given the name of the business & her first name. My first haircut; I have spots on certain areas on my head that are thin, so I explained to her, " please be sure and be able to cover those areas, while you are cutting. I have a hair pulling issue. I am in deep trauma therapy called EMDR, addressing childhood neglect & assaults. Hair pulling started in at age 3, so I am facing the male family members (EMDR sessions) and I have anxiety that needs to be released." I thought that she understood, she seemed kind hearted. The haircut was OK, except she didnt cover up my thin spots behind my ears, like a I asked. Then I thought I'd give her another try, I wanted to return to hair color, Dark Blond. The haircolor was not dark blond, it was a warm light brown, it was pretty. I looked in the mirror at home and the color was the same shade I had at age 2. I didnt call to complain, I let it go and worked with it. Last June of this year, I go back again, and I said, " I need dark blond and next year, I think I want to have you cut my hair into a pixie." She smiled, nodded her head. Then I said again, "be sure and leave enough hair to cover the thin areas." She brought up certain subjects and I responded. She used hair color first and then cut my hair. I felt that too much hair was coming off and the color was not dark blond again! It was that warm light brown again! And she had gone ahead and cut my hair into a pixie! And she made a rude, insensitive comment about the hair pulling habit, that deeply hurt my feelings! It was like this hair specialist forgot what I told her from the first time and my sharing very personal insight to my childhood. And then her fee was not explained to me before she started working on me. There are no posted prices. I work off a budget. I was not expecting how much she charged me for wrong hair color and the wrong haircut, plus insulting me. This time I complained and told her I am not coming back to you; and then I told her what she did and said that was unacceptable for a professional in her line of work!
