A treasure to del Rio,…read more I was in desperate need of a hairstylist for a wedding on very short notice, and Diamond Salon was able to fit me in the same day. From the moment I arrived, my stylist was kind, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident. She cut, dried, and styled my hair in under two hours, and the results were absolutely beautiful. Even more impressive, my hairstyle lasted over 12 hours and looked amazing throughout the entire event. The appointment flew by because she was such a great conversationalist. As an added bonus, she's also a talented artist, and I enjoyed admiring her artwork and current projects while I was there. Overall, I highly recommend Diamond Salon. My stylist was the most memorable part of my visit to Del Rio, and her talent, warmth, and attention to detail made the entire experience exceptional. I would definitely return if I am ever back in town.

I split my nail in the middle and was desperate to get it fixed. Out of the 5 Nail Salons I called,…read moreChi Nails was the only one that would take me. I walked about 1.2 miles to get there and when I walked in, I was told it was an hour wait. It was not and hour wait, it was more like an hour and 45 minutes. While waiting, no way on Gods green earth would I EVER darken Chi Nails in Houston. The place was in shambles!! I observed after a pedicure, all the tech did was take a shot of Dawn and washed out the pedicure bowl. WHAT ABOUT SOME LYSOLE?? No utensils was sterilized. Minimal polish colors offered. When it was my turn, I promise on everything I love, the owner Ms. Chi took a towel (dirty of course) outside and shook it out. She came back in took a damp towel from a dirty pedi chair and wiped off the station I was sat at. She then took that towel she shoot outside and place it in front of me. I was at her mercy because my split nail was sore and cause me great pain. The utensils she used came from a nasty station next to us, they was just sitting there out in the open. Ms. Chi took no mercy on the way she did my nails, she was so rough. When she pushed my cuticles back, omg I wanted to slap the mess outta her. When she was grinding my , she nipped me at least 5x's. I had to remind myself what City I was in and I shut my mouth and endured the pain inflicted upon me. When she replaced my broken nail, she said I must not be from Del Rio. As she was grinding my sore nail, she showed no mercy. When it came time to shaping the nail, again she said I must not be from Del Rio because they don't do my shape. All I did throughout the process was smile and be polite again I had no choice. I asked her to shape the a little better, that offended her. When it came time to wash my hands, I went into the restroom. I put toilet paper on the toilet because the restroom was filthy. As I walked back to the station, lawdy how can a women keep such a filthy shop. Call me boogie if y'all want, I call it having standards. I'm gonna keep n eye on the split nail for fungus and when I get back to Houston replace all of them! This is another reason why I love Houston because we offer opinions when it come to Nail Salons.

If you are looking for furniture, I would definitely check out Ashley, Laing's and Bell's…read more Ashley Furniture has a large selection. You can get an inexpensive set or a very expensive set. They have a lot of attractive sets. It's a little annoying to have sales people all over you, but it's just the way it is with furniture shopping. I got a lot of help from Gus C. He is a great salesman. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. When I wanted to roam around by myself, he let me. When I had questions, he was there to answer them. He always shared his knowledge on why and why not. If you are ready to purchase, I would look for him. The only thing you need to be careful about these guys is the prices. I saw this beautiful sofa/love seat set for $2400. If you love it, the price should not matter with 48 months no interest plan, theoretically. Frankly speaking, it does sting a little when you find the exact same product for $1500 and free shipping. This deal was only available in Chicago and North East area, but still, you realize they have a huge profit margin that they are working with. I strongly believe that the store and the salesman should make money off of your purchase. Just not $1000 for an item.
