Trade is a great program to go in and get your schooling out the way quicker and I love that after graduation they help you look for a job based on your career!! But downsides is there's a huge loan you must pay and some courses you take they can improve on hands on teaching as a lot of it is to much book work. I'm writing this review to warn others about what truly goes on at this school. My experience was filled with lies, stress, and complete lack of professionalism. If you're a veteran or a student seeking real education and support, please look elsewhere. From the very beginning, the admissions, financial, career, and academic departments misled me. I was promised a legitimate hybrid program with on-campus instruction, but the school completely misrepresented my attendance and blamed VA. They reported false information that directly affected my VA benefits, and when I tried to get answers, I was met with blaming VA again, avoidance and excuses. The curriculum is severely outdated, and they issued a cheap, barely functional tablet as part of the "Medical Office Specialist" program-then charged me for it. It was never used for any real educational purpose. The learning environment was unsafe and disorganized. We practiced CPR on broken AED machines and damaged mannequins. I was told I'd be retrained when proper equipment arrived but that never happened. Most of the time, my classmates and I had to teach ourselves and our new teacher. I felt genuinely unsafe and mentally drained whenever I came to this location. My original instructor was more focused on decorating for holiday parties and talking about her personal life than teaching. When she was replaced, the new teacher hadn't been trained at all, leaving us in the same situation--completely unsupported. My externship was a mess. I requested a hospital setting and paid out of pocket for my drug test and background check. I submitted the request over five months in advance, but the school didn't lift a finger until four weeks before the deadline--long after it was too late to get a hospital placement. They knew this and still let it slide. What's even more shameful is the way they treated veterans with disrespect and indifference. There was no support, no follow-through, and no accountability. This school is not a real educational institution. it's a business built on scamming students and collecting tuition and VA benefits without delivering the education or training they promise. They will lie to your face, take your money, and leave you with nothing but debt and regret. Do not trust this place. The Electrician technician program is a scam. That is not how you become an electrician. Contact the IBEW in your area, and you will find the correct path to doing that. Besides that, the instructors were insufferable. One would not stop talking about religion, and politics (right wing), and another would not stop talking about politics (left wing). If you're thinking of pursing criminal justice just don't. All you get out of it is a guard card and a first aid certification, which, in reality you can get both those certifications easily at most entry-level jobs in the security industry. You can get more help looking for a good paying security job on Indeed rather than from career services who don't care where they put you. To make matters worse, the credits you get for taking the course don't always transfer over to an actual college either. This is the worst waste of money ever! My son learned more about his teachers sex life and lack there of then electricity. They can't keep a teacher on as well as the teachers that they do have don't even finish teaching everything we were promised and paid for by the end of the electrical class. They don't have the solar panels to even teach solar! The staff is terrible except for the student aid and job placement. The loans are bs I have been paying them for a year and a half automatic payments taken out and now all of a sudden they are late with no reason. They have been hitting my son's credit negatively for no reason on his part. I am the one paying everything but they won't talk to me funny I co signed everything and they didn't mind taking the money. This place is unperfessional do not waste your money. As a VA student this place is terrible on how the VA students are treated ,on your non lab days they expect you to SIT IN A CLASS ROOM FOR 5 HOURS 2 times a week, and they will doc you on your hours even down to minutes even I went and had a long smoke break, restroom break ,or even go outside to stretch your legs, I can complete all my assignments and yet they act like I HAVE TO BE PRESENT IN THE VA class room every minute of those 5 hours and also you have to ask permission to go do those things as if we are little kids. IT IS UNSATISACTORY !!!!!! and HARASSMENT!! in brings down motivation, moral, and drive to even want to even attend to this place. No help with jobs, resumes,or career development. The staff has little niche experience and most don't have a teaching credential.. not most.. only 1 of 3 had one. Where should I start Clean school but the motivation of bonding fully with my other classmates was minimum and the cool instructors of medical assistants motivating us to get through the long days and nights made it worth it. School work was easy and able to comprehend but then it came down for the count of missing 15 minutes be prepared to repeat an entire month of a class you most likely passsed with flying colors. Graduated at ease and bid my farewell to my Instructors, but absolutely no word of graduation was motioned or addressed. Here it is fast forward I'm in July eagerly waiting and graduated in November (8 months ago), but research of my own was done and I called another student that was in the same boat of repeating over 30 minutes max missed ,and was told that everyone walked in May (2 months ago). Step it up and keep your students informed of when their walking date is instead of giving the robes early and no other expectations other than taking money away and having accountability of doing that. Career services repeatedly knows how to call but the reminder of we help you find a job is not very helpful as I had to resubmit my own resume finished 3 times to get full time jobs of experienced work and was given the run around of we'll send more jobs to you and we'll be in touch. My personal advisor called my phone of one ring and hung up no voice mail no intentions of ready for round 2 that's a negative I already wasted enough time and my benefits to you guys Thankyou uei for also not telling me when graduation was and having to go pickup my diploma several months later. They are a cash grab, they will lie straight to your face and say they care about your education and in reality they need your money and just want numbers. I feel manipulated and tricked. They say it's hands on education and it's not, they say when you graduate it'll be worth something and it's not. Electricians don't care about a fake certificate from UEI. I got a refund after two weeks and two months later they have been harassing me everyday saying I owe them money. I attended for two weeks and they say they have a grace period and if you aren't satisfied they with give your money back but it was so difficult to get my money back. Two months after they have been harassing me twice a day with phone calls and e mails telling me I owe them money. It's been horrible. I'm currently having my lawyer contact them and dispute it. Do not attend here. I expressed my concern at the beginning about if I start a job I don't want it to interfere with school. I was told that they help you get a job or help out on campus so you can get a paycheck which sounded perfect to me. Once I was enrolled I was told the program is not available until March. I still stayed enrolled but started quickly looking for a job since I need income. I texted and asked if I could push my start date to the next one because at the moment it was hard to find a job that wants to work with my work schedule. Which I felt like I started getting interrogated asked so many questions that where and why dont I just ask to work around my schedule. It doesn't always work like that. I saw the immediately seems like they only care about commission or something I only asked to change the start date not that I didn't want to attend all together. I felt like the lady that called me that also tried to convince me made a petty comment towards the end that I changed my goals in such a short time. I did NOT change my goals I just need money!!!!! When I asked about Fafsa and me not wanting it to be an issue because I never even started I was ignored over text, email, and the voicemail I left never got a call back about my concerns. If you are a veteran student using the GI bill I would highly recommend looking for a different school. The way the school does their schedule makes it so you receive partial GI bill and lose $300 or more a month in MHA (similar to BAH. Therefore, the whole course you would be loosing $2,700. read more

After our original teacher left we were being thrown around from teacher to teacher. We never had the right supplies that we needed. Which is crucial when learning blood draws and injections in the medical assistant program. Switched me from night classes to day classes and when I messaged the councilor who did it before classes started again I never got a response. Only found out nothing changed because they dropped me from the program for lack of attendance. I had made it clear I could only do the night program several times. They would call and hound my phone when i was out on medical leave. When I would call them back or try getting ahold of someone to figure out what's going on I would get no response. I was a student at UEI from July 2021- January 2022. I was the Salutatorian for Medical assistants at graduation and also an ambassador and spent many hours tutoring throughout my stay. I also made presidents list (95% or higher ) each grading period. I never missed a zoom class or in person class. I had 100% attendance and worked REALLY hard for that. I tried my best there at UEI. But towards the end of my stay there, there was a mess up with a few kids attendance, mine included. Like I said I worked REALLY hard for that attendance and I even stayed extra hours to make up those hours that I didn't even miss. All in the end for them to tell me it was for nothing and they wouldn't fix my attendance. It took WEEKS of me going in to the office speaking to so many I different people and even corporate to try to fix it and FINALLY at the end someone just easily fixed it for me and said they didn't know why it couldn't be fixed by someone sooner. If I didn't try my hardest to fix that I would've not RIGHTFULLY received my Salutatorian award which will help me get jobs in the future. I also payed lump sum in the beginning meaning I went through school with no debt because I paid it off. When graduation hit I spoke to the office and they said I was clear and had no more payments to worry about. About a week after I graduate I start getting phone calls from the corporate office saying I still owed $452. I of course said that couldn't be because I payed everything off my first month of schooling. So I spoke to the school, UEI, and they said it was a pending scholarship for me being a military family member. She sent me proof of it and I sent it to the corporate office so everyone could be on track that it was a pending scholarship. A month and a half goes by and I get an email from Corporate UEI saying that my account is now pending review for escalation because I have not paid them. So I start to freak out a little bit and I emailed my school, 4 days later they get back to me and say my "Balance is 452.00. Sorry it took so long we needed to get verification from the agancy". This is the exact email I got in AUGUST OF 2022. It took for me to be sent to collections for them to even try to help me and they say this. So now, not only do I have to pay that $452 but it also affected my credit score that I have worked EXTREMELY hard for. SO if you're a military member, know that they don't actually give out scholarships for that and you'll have to pay that $452 after you graduate. Also know that even if you work your hardest, they don't care. Unless YOU take the steps to fix THEIR mistakes. But shoutout to Ms. Sue, Mr. Luis and honestly all the teachers at UEI . They are the only reasons I had a good experience at UEI. But the staff in the office, watch out, cause not all of them but most of them just want a paycheck. I would highly recommend you stay away from this school. There is so many other school since then that I have heard of that are WAYYYYYYY better and actually worth the money. read more
