I haven't been here since 2018 but I came back today and had just as great of an experience as I had in the past. I come here for my allergy treatment. I see Dr. Brady. Dr. Brady has always been kind, professional, and efficient in treating my allergies. He got me out of my previous office which was using medieval times-esque treatment that was very unpleasant for me and my son and not doing a thing. Today was just a check up because I haven't been seen in 4 years. I was seen promptly, all staff was super friendly. They even gave me a flu shot right away as I requested. I can't speak for other doctors or specialists here, but I can say if you are coming here for your allergies (or even asthma as Dr. Brady is helping me out with) you will have a great experience! read more

I would give negative stars if possible, they should be paying patients to endure their BS. I used them for ONE appointment in fall of 2023. You are assigned an intern so they can practice on you before becoming a real healthcare professional. I have an extremely complex history. When intern introduced I said "NO! I have a complex history and an intern not appropriate!" They wanted to argue and I keep showing my list of diagnosed condition. I had 30 diagnosed conditions at that point and now 34! I left that appointment with blood boiling. Then the real fun started. I got notification that my health record had been uploaded. I have a lot going on and want to make sure correct. 80% of entered data was completely incorrect. They conflated current data with historical data, created conditions I did not have and left off ones I do and made a nonsensical health record. After MANY phone calls and portal messages they just made it worse! On top of all this you cannot contact "Dr of record" in portal. I had to do a browser search on her name, find her on UB Med school site and get her phone and email. I phoned and emailed and she refused to respond! I then went on to General Physians PC in May 2024. MUCH better practice. Children playing hospital do a much more admirable job of it!! read more

Updated Review - Do not, under any circumstances, trust this practice with your health or with your private medical information. Issues I've Experienced with UBMD Endocrinology: - I was ordered to keep taking a medication that I said was making me worse and giving me rare side effects - That medication isn't even for my current diagnosis, it is for a different medical condition (which I do not have) and I should have been taken off it the moment that was realized. - Their patient portal is useless. - One of their PA Students (not even a real PA yet!) told me to 'Get this test done at This Place,' but didn't specify *which* location. I made the appointment with the location closest to me and the morning of my appointment they called me to cancel because only This Place does that test, only 'The Other Location of the Same Name' does it - something the PA-wannabe should have mentioned. The worst part of this bullet point is that I had to go without medication for a week in order to take this test. 'The Other Location' did not have any openings for a month, so I had to go without medication not once but twice. - I have called the Endo office a handful of times with medical concerns or questions and have only been called back a fraction of the time. - And more. I finally had enough of this place / that wannabe-PA, that I sought care elsewhere. Anyplace would be better than here. read more

I like UBMD - and actually sympathize with them over some things - but it does, somewhat, earn its reputation. These laughable mediocrities simply hate the clientele who they work with. They have them all pegged as low-income low-lives who are there for them to mock and to demean. One in particular with whom I recently had a consultation, Lauren Merkle (a PA), repeatedly cut me off (while I would still be answering a question), with "Perfection" - apparently, as though she had to keep things simple for me. (No, I was not droning on or anything like that). It was not just that. The contempt came through in other ways. She, herself, was pretty immature with silly squiggly mascara lines drawn so far out from the sides of her eyes that they almost qualified as antennae. If I could have found her listed on any medical review sites, then I would have wrote one up for her, there. read more

Double board certified in internaL med and allergy/immunology AND pediatrics. Very educated and knowledgeable about mastocytosis. Kind, gentle and very attentive. Her team is equally detail oriented and generous with their time. They ask the right questions and allay your fears with understandable answers. Office is not focused on gossip or what's for lunch but on you. Very professional. Great follow up by all staff. Office on Main St large, open and VERY clean. It houses multiple medical disciples so you can consolidate all your medical needs. If you're searching for the best, Dr Harish is the one in the Buffalo area. read more

I always am treated well there. Nice front office. My doc Brady runs a tight ship. Never have to wait for injections.

An awful practice. They truly do not care about their patients. My appointments with my rheumatologist were always great, he is knowledgeable, attentive, explaining things to me, and listening to what I have to say. But every time he puts me on a new medication and orders studies, etc., nobody in the practice follows up. I kept calling the practice and asked for the status of the prior authorization, they either don't answer the phone or don't call me back when I leave messages or can't answer my questions. I complained to the manager a couple times, and you would think that they would do something about it. No, nothing ever changes. If it were not for my rheumatologist, I would have left this awful practice long time ago. Now, even my rheumatologist is leaving this practice. I am so happy for him. I feel relieved that I finally don't have to deal with this practice any more. read more

New offices for practice that was on Harlem and Sheridan in Dent Towers. These offices are much bigger than the old ones. Somewhat better parking. 3 stars. They saw me quickly for an appt which is great. Liked the PA. Just wish it was like that all the time. read more

In 2020 I left the internal medicine practice despite loving my PCP due to always waiting on hold for 30 minutes or more and how unorganized the office end of things were. my next PCP recently announced his relocation to an state and suggested I return to my previous PCP as I always spoke so highly of her. I called UBMD Internal Medicine to inquire whether she was taking new patients and was told yes. they scheduled me a new patient appointment for 35 days out. I uploaded my medical records into the patient portal with the Information I was given and rec a confirmation call the evening before my scheduled appointment. the day of my appointment I went to the office after taking off from work early, paid for parking and arrived to be told that my appointment was "bumped". when I asked multiple questions about why this would have happened I was given several answers, the doctor had an emergency so just reschedule, you prev left the practice so you should stay with the doctor you left for, your PCP with your health insurance has not been changed to the doctor you were scheduled to see and the doctor you were scheduled to see isn't taking new patients anyway. When I pushed further and shared if any or all of this is true why wasn't I notified or why was i scheduled for an appointment in the first. they had no reasonable explanation or even an apology. They refused to apologize or acknowledge that this is bad business and leaves me medically without a current PCP or prescriber. This practice is shameful and should be reported to the DOH! They clearly do not care about what is fair and good practice for quality of care. read more

My initial appointment for an evaluation required seven phone calls back and forth until it was finally determined which doctor I would see, on what date and at what time. They are disorganized and chaotic, they have no qualms about having you wait, wait, and wait some more. A building full of residents and interns. You're lucky to get 5 - 7 minutes with your primary care giver per appointment. The resident I saw apparently suffers from ADD; I had to repeat and explain myself quite a few times, which, if she were listening initially, would not have been unnecessary, it made me feel uncomfortable. After my 25 (or so) minute evaluation was almost over I was asked if I wanted a flu shot, I agreed, I waited over 20 minutes and when the resident came walking by (I had the examination room door open or she never would have seen me) asked if I had received the shot yet, I said no, she looked incensed and she walked away as if to indicate she were going to expedite the nurse to give me the shot. I waited another 25 minutes and still no one came to administer the shot before another PA came in and said "you can go now" and so I did; I stopped at CVS on the way home and got my shot there in less than 8 minutes. I had a 2:00 appointment that was supposed to last 45 minutes but I didn't end up leaving there until 4:15. No one told me to go to the checkout area for follow-up instructions and paperwork, a nurse just said "you can go, we're done." The intern decided to double the dosage of a medication I was taking so they put the script through my pharmacy to order a 30 day supply which should have been a 60 day supply, the pharmacy contacted them 3 times to get a revised prescription and they have not received a call back... as of this writing it has been 8 days. They sorely need to revisit the protocol and procedures of patient courtesy and attention. Unfortunately this is indicative of how swamped the healthcare system is (not just UBMD) and how essential it is to have competent management and coordinators at the helm to move the onslaught of patients through more efficiently in what appears to be a deficient, mismanaged and inundated struggling system that is lacking primary care physicians. read more

Called to make an appointment with my Gyno at ubmd in west Seneca. Not only is the receptionist extremely rude and unwelcoming, she ignored my questions and then when I asked to make an appointment to come in and rectify the issue I was having she then made me feel unwelcome, and that as if I couldn't make an appointment. I'm continuously dissatisfied with the service I have received since becoming a patient and I will no longer continue my service. if you are working in the healthcare field being personable, welcoming and friendly are qualities ubmd should look for. Not rude, curt and unpleasant employees. If you are having a bad day, then maybe you shouldn't go to work considering people are calling you to help them with medical issues and such. I have been going to this office for years and usually like it, but I refuse to put up with the amount of follow up I've had to do lately to get quality healthcare. I've dealt with ridiculous waits time for my PMD to get back to me and on the phone waiting with nurses, and issues with billing. I understand that doctors offices are busy, mistakes happen, and I'm not the only patient, but the doctors need to show more respect for their patients. I recently went in one evening for a rash and sinus troubles I was having. Visit went great (saw a doctor I'm familiar with and intern), everything fine, scripts would be sent to my pharmacy. They aren't sent that night, I call them early the next morning to inform them that my scripts weren't sent over-apparently the physicians PA sent over the script without signature. I call my pharmacy later in the afternoon to see if it's ready, they still haven't gotten anything. I called back again and the process repeats. Waiting on hold for 15 mins or more just to speak with a nurse who just says they will pass on the message. I didn't end up getting my meds until the next day and called about 5 times total for that. Thank God missing these medications for a few days was not life threatening. I have a history of back pain, which recently worsened and I've felt pain and tingling shooting down my legs. I called to see if my PMD could order an MRI for me for my back to see what's wrong with it (she sent me a referral for PT, and the results could be reviewed with either doctor). I have called numerous times to check on my response--she has not responded, and it's now Wednesday evening going into Thursday. If she does not feel comfortable doing so or that I do not need it, I can understand-but tell me something. Lastly, I've been getting a bill for a no show appointment since March 2018-I paid it in May, but they still keep sending me the bill, even after I showed them a copy of the mailed and cleared check! I somehow have to deal with them until October when I switch to a new PMD, but am debating just going urgent care now. Most of the PAs are warm and effective, but you always get a sense they are rushing to see the next patient, which makes the experience less pleasant most time. Good luck seeing your doctor-I'm lucky enough to see my PMD at the annual physical. I recommend that if you see a PA, see Victoria Boorman. She actually takes the time to listen to you, along with a few others. Front desk staff are warm and welcoming most times, and they are usually lenient with last minute cancellations/reschedules. Despite the positives, the less than ideal quality of the healthcare leads me to suggest you go elsewhere, or leave if you start experiencing this type of treatment. read more

Doctors are awesome, but if you forget to pay one of their many sporadic bills they'll send you to collections, no second letter, no phone call with no explanation of billed services. Oh and if you want to pay the billing company good luck, they do not answer the phone at all. I called their billing company 6 times over two weeks, left a voicemail every time after waiting almost an hour hoping someone would answer. Really wish the service team was as good as the doctors, extremely disappointed by this. read more

We have been patients with UBMD since 2004 ,In the Last 2 years our feeling of a secure primary care team has become Non exsitant. Meds aren't called in Untill pharmacy and patients call multiple times ,Follow ups on testing ordered is Non exsitant. Sadly we are seeing Caring providers leave and we are considering for our health doing the same read more

So sick of UBMD. I can never see a doctor, and when I finally see one, they end up leaving the practice. They never send over my prescriptions and constantly need reminders to get things done. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

You definitely felt like a number, not like a patient there. Dr. Denis-Coke replaced a well respected doctor there and she definitely can't fill her shoes. Bedside manner was poor and there was person that had to scribe during my physical, just unprofessional. I will be switching drs and practice. The PAs must get a kickback from the pharmeceutical company since prescribe the same meds & will not change; instead they pawn you off to someone else. My meds didn't work that great for 2+ years & were never changed to different ones that would work. You become a non-compliant patient if you stop taking a med that has serious side effects. I want quality & this practice wants quantity. They just fill the seats, take our co-pays, bill our insurance, & toss meds our way. Avoid this place unless you want to be unheard & have uneccessary tests done read more

I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone!! The PA's run the place, and they, AND the doctor(s) are shady, and dishonest. All they are really interested in is the insurance and the copay. Run!! ANYBODY ELSE would be a much better choice!!!! read more

I wish there was an option to not give any stars. This place is terrible. I've been going here for a little over two years. In that time I have seen the same doctor, Denise Dennis-Coke. At first, I thought that I really liked her, that she seemed to care about me as a patient. Until it was as if I was just a bothersome person she had to see. I suffer from chronic pain, I asked her on many occasions to help me find relief for it or to recommend me to someone who could help. She then followed that by insulting me by saying that being 24 was too young for pain medication, when in fact I'm 30. I didn't ask for pain medication, yet that's where she went immediately. Fast forward to a week ago, I had to make an appointment to be seen because of severe stomach pain. I saw a PA, she immediately called to have me get an ultrasound and blood work. It's been a week now and Dr. Coke can't be bothered to even open the file and see the results of the ultrasound. Upon calling every day, twice today, no response I told the nurse after a 15 minute wait, who said she would "reiterate" the message to Dr. Coke to never mind it that I was going to the ER. I have been waiting for the results of that test since Friday when I was told that's when I would hear something from them. I wouldn't recommend this doctor or the office in general to a person that just needed a band aid. These people need to learn bedside manners and treat their patients like they are worth something more than an insurance payment. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new doctor. Anywhere but this place would be better. read more
