Hi, I tried to set up an Uber account for more than 40 minutes and was unable to book a ride until I added a payment method. My payment method failed to add, saying something was wrong with my payment method. After searching the help articles and trying all of the advice there with no luck (and much of the advice was not quite right), I looked for a way to ask support a question. There was no way. Uber's new support site presumes you have a ride to talk about. :-( So ... I cannot even use their service. Terrible first impression and absolutely no customer service. My recommendation would be to use a different service. I had a similar issue with Lyft, and so I phoned a regular taxi service locally and there was absolutely no problem scheduling a ride. The other taxi service mentioned to me that Uber / Lyft do not do background checks on drivers. I would stay away from uber... I absolutely hate this company. I am always having problems with them. One time I got left because I wasn't outside in 60 Seconds and due to that I was late to work. When I called to get a refund they sent me on a wild goose chase and told me they'd call me back and never did. Terrible customer service and rude drivers. This morning was my last scheduling an Uber. What these jerks don't tell you is that they preauth your card even if they can't find a driver and even if you schedule a ride 1 hr before you need it, you are not going to be able to get it. They start a countdown to your ride when they aren't going to show up and won't tell you that they've changed their mind until after your pick up window. No idea you're going to be late to work until you are. There's a reason I schedule 1 hr advanced, it's because I'm the boss. Today my store will open an hour later as I wait for my cab and 12 employees wait for me to get there to unlock the building. Great drivers but a horrible business. read more

Russell was our driver for the chris Stapleton concert at the Spokane arena. His vehicle was professionally prepared for any kind of experience with any customer! Very professional!! We upon leaving our event called Russell which never answered his phone to come pick us up like he said he would. If he was full or busy for the venue then he should have at least answered our call and let us know he was unable to get us. My husband and mother in law walked almost a half mile to the Carl's Jr. To wait while my 2 sister in laws grabbed the cheapest Uber running the area and came to pick us up an hour later. Uber rocks!! The cab services in Spokane have sucked forever. Nasty cabs, nastier drivers, half the time late, half the time lost, so switching to uber and lfyt was an easy decision. My dad who is 71 years old and has the beginning stages of dementia got an Uber from a grocery store. His hands were full with a 5 gallon water jug, groceries and a Starbucks drink. The Uber driver never once asked if he needed help or showed him where he could put his drink so that he could fasten his seat belt. My dad ended up spilling his drink on the rubber mat and ice on the rug. The driver said that he would charge him between $30 to $50 and he was actually charged $88. Is this how Uber treats their elders? We will not be using your service anymore and I will be letting everyone to not use this service. I don't know who to complain to. Twice in the last week an Uber car has shown up at our house AND WE DID NOT ORDER ONE. First time it was a lady with a pizza. Won't use Uber again... ordered for airport and put in time needed. Uber showed in 15 minutes, a full 45 minutes before requested time. Driver would not wait. Why have time requested when it is ignored. After cancelling all other attempt to get a Uber ride were unsuccessful... Black balled??? Good for 3pm-10pm ..other than that get ready for extreme surge rates and waits. Quoted 40$ for an 8 minute ride from downtown on a Friday night. It only cost me 7.80$ to get there around 7pm.. that really made me mad. Also drivers will sometimes take the longer route on purpose if it's too short of a ride for them trying to make more money. I've been trying to start riding uber for quite some time, but apparently they still do not accept prepaid cards which is ridiculous as a lot of people that don't have bank accounts and use prepaid visas are riding uber for just that reason. And when I wrote to customer service about this, they tried blaming me and saying it was 'may bank's' fault which just doesn't make sense. Too bad. They wouldn't pick me up in medical lake. And when I requested one from spokane to medical lake, they denied me after I ordered the pickup. They said I was "out of range" and just left me. I was lucky to catch a bus with a driver I knew. I couldn't even afford a bus. read more

I used Uber twice this evening and it was very painless. Both drivers were very professional and polite. One enjoyed talking more than the other, however they both were excellent at what they did. I have used Uber once before for a short distance, but this time I used it to travel from the far north side to Brown's Addition and then back up north. Uber is not a reliable source of transportation. I was leaving Northern Quest Casino and a Uber passenger flagged me down because the Uber driver was driving too fast for the wintertime conditions. I gave the passenger a ride to the Davenport. The passenger said the Uber driver told him to get out and push to get his vehicle out of the ditch. Granted that some drivers are not totally familiar with the area, I found this service to be a great option at odd hours and convenient for downtown to any point in the city. Not a fan. I'm from Southern California and Uber works great there. In August 2016, I tried Uber in Spokane. It was horrible - never again! Driver picked me up from the airport in the late evening. My destination was 17 miles away using main roads. The driver instead took me on a wild goose chase through winding back roads without signage and lights - as a lone female this was scary (and I don't scare easily). I had a printed Goggle map and had been to the location before and told the driver many times he was going the wrong way, but he strongly insisted that he was not. What should have been about 30-35 minutes took more than twice as long, and I ended up paying twice as much as quoted. Took a shuttle back to airport -it was under 30 minutes and much safer. I'll stick with the shuttle when in Spokane. read more

i will never take an uber after what i saw today this uber lady did not have her turn signal on and when we were getting of the off ramp of I-90 she flipped me off and cut in front of me and ran me off the road and than when she stopped she rolled her window down and cussed me out like crazy i told her politely to please use her turn signal next time please so i do not trust uber drivers read more
