Uber is getting worse and worse. This week twice they cancelled my ride 1 minute before pick up (after having waited 15 mins) and then assigned another car that was 15 mins out. And if you cancel they penalize you .. I think we have created a monster and now there are very few options to get a ride in SLC since most taxi companies are out. read more

I typically love Uber. Very rarely do I have a terrible experience. Sometimes the drivers tailgate, or drive beaters, but I let it slide. I never have had such a bad driver until yesterday. Name Barat Ali, license plate 9ETA1. Tailgating, on phone. Driving 80mph in a 55mph zone, when it was SNOWING. Leaving no room between him and other cars. 5 stars for most Ubers, but 1 for him. We thought we'd crash. read more

I reserved a 3:50 AM ride. I canceled before 7PM the evening before. Whichever driver committed to the ride 9+ hrs before, charged me the $25 cancelation fee. It took multiple days, multiple chats, and almost 2 weeks to get the refund. Then it stated it was a one time exception because I was a first time user. I canceled NINE HOURS ahead! read more

First time using Uber and the map interface was horrible showing the pick up locations. It wouldn't show the direction I was heading or live movement to show where you're even going. No actual address showing for the pickup spots make it even worse. My driver showed up, refused to call me when asked, and instead cancelled and paid themselves a convenience fee at my expense then ditched me. Customer support is chat only and they ditched to me another team and stated up to 24 hrs for support. I rode my dependable bicycle afterwards and Uber is a waste of time and money. read more

Has anyone else suddenly started getting charged $9.99/month for Uber One without knowingly signing up? I contacted support after discovering multiple charges, and they refused to fully refund them. I never signed a contract or intentionally authorized a recurring subscription. Extremely frustrating experience and very disappointing customer service. Curious how many other people this has happened to. read more

Customer service sucks. My bank says there is no problem with my card. Same card I have used with Uber before. Bank says the problem is on Ubers end. Crappy website Uber has & their options online suck. This requires a humans help, but you can't get one. F- for customer support. UBER SUCKS! I hope Lyft is better. I had to walk 2 miles in the snow & cold. Don't get stranded with this horrible company. read more

Trying to get a refund for a ride that the driver canceled on us. We made arrangements the day before to be picked up at a Universal Studios resort hotel at 9:30am We did not receive information from the driver, who he was or if he was on his way. We were there asking other drivers if they were there for us when I received the cancelation notice. The dirver canceled 1 minute after our pick up time and we were forced to hire another ride. Uber continues to direct me to their cancelation policy with no help from a real person. What I have whitnessed in the past is that drivers show up and flag people down that they are Uber drivers and over charge 3-4x what is allowed through the Uber app. I suspect that that our driver purposely canceled on us in order to pulll off this dirty scheme. We reached out to Lyft who showed up in minutes and gave us a decent and acceptable rate. We rewarded him with a hefty tip for doing his job honestly. Lyft gets the first call from now on. read more

pay us more!! as an uber driver my pay has decreased significantly! i understand the company wanting to have more money, but same old screw our drivers, they aren't really worth paying them decently! i started in jan 2025, i have only had 5 star reviews, but do tgey give a poop about that, no!! screw your algorithms!! read more

Uber texted me that they had delivered my prescription medication but it wasn't delivered. I tried texting and calling them but they wouldn't accept my call because my phone # isn't in their system. 1st driver picked up the wrong paasenger. 2nd driver pulled up to a different column at SLC Airport.

I use Uber often and at least 1 of 3 cars is a ersious beater. I mean loose steering, broken springs, tired shocks, cracked windshields, etc. The drivers tend to be slightly better, but most speed and follow to closely. I would say that 20% keep both hands on the steering wheel. I feel lucky to be alive. read more

Honestly doesn't even deserve one star. I just had the worst experience with Uber eats. I ordered a drink. After 25 minutes of me waiting the driver proceeded to tell me the store was closed down which is a complete lie! I know for a fact it is not closed down! Then he ended the order and made me pay for Something he didn't even try to get. I couldn't rate him either. It wouldn't let me and automatically went to a 5 star. Then I contacted support and got hung up on by 5 different people who were NO HELP! I had to wait 3 days for someone to respond to. The app is WAY over priced and flawed. I will never order anything off there again. And no, I did not get my money back no madder how hard I tried. read more

Booked a ride to the airport for 6am 24 hours in advance. Driver cancelled 15 minutes before. No other drivers available. Had to go old school and use a car service for more than twice as much. read more

Uber may be considered a great company. However this experience was not good. I was first scheduled to be picked up by Anthony. Then after waiting for 25 minutes my driver was changed to Paul and was set to wait for another 25 minutes. Both of these drivers kept us waiting while they completed another ride. Uber drivers should not commit to a ride until they have completed their current drive. This is inconsiderate to the riders and it limits other drivers from a chance to pick up a fare. I cancelled the ride and went with Lyft. Get your act together and then go back into service. This is a follow up 4 hours later, because I am livid. The close to an hour we wasted waiting for the drivers caused us our lunch time. We were on a limited schedule. I had been using Lyft so far and didn't have a problem. As a matter of fact it was a Lyft driver the one who picked us up within minutes of our request. I felt like giving Uber a chance. I write this follow up now to let you know my son at the moment is not feeling well, because he went without eating for a long time. We had other commitment and forewent lunch. read more

Do not Use uber scheduling services in Park City if depend on a ride I scheduled an Uber pickup on Sunday for a Monday pick up to the airport. At time of scheduled pick up I receive the assigned driver and was told 20 minutes away even though my scheduled pick up was in 2 minutes. I followed drivers progress and after 20 minutes late app stated my driver was completing prior ride. App states 2 minutes away and then after 25 minutes delayed. The driver cancelled my ride. No other uber available. I receive uber alert that I was refunded. I missed my flight. And Uber takes no responsibility. I could not complain on driver as ride not completed. No way to contact Uber. All uber cates about is that they refunded me. I had to spend $350 to get another flight. Why offer scheduling service if cannot deliver. Also cancel prior to 25 minutes late. Beware of this service read more

I booked a ride at 2.34 PM on 04/04/2023 from airport. The guy never came, and the map showed he is 1-2 min away for like 20mmin. I was standing outside in freezing cold, 20 min later he sent a text asking where I'm, I said 6B, he asked what is 6B. That's when I realized he is not at the airport. He agreed he is not but lied saying he came and went. Original time was 12 min wait, there is no way he came and left while I was standing and scannnig LIC plates. He said he can't cancel, and I should if I can. I ended up cancelling and rebooking. His name was Rahman. Worst is I sent a message to Uber till today no response, suppossed to call me within 24 hours. Terrible customer service for charging an arm and a leg. read more

By far the best auto service in the state. I'm glad to know that they are now operational in SLC and can't wait to start using them. The roommate's family rented a 7 passenger van. However, whenever all of us were going somewhere, the roommate and I needed to call an Uber. (We had 9 people total including us.) During our whole week long trip, we took Uber a total of 11 times. We called an UberX every time. (They do not offer Uber Pool in SLC or Park City.) *Sunday, December 4th at 5:22pm - Salt Lake City International Airport to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa ($40.40) *Monday, December 5th at 12:55pm - Westgate Park City Resort & Spa to Gorgoza Park ($10.21) *Monday, December 5th at 3:37pm - Gorgoza Park to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa ($9.98) *Wednesday, December 7th at 3:55pm - Park City Mountain Resort to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa ($8.65) *Thursday, December 8th at 1:20pm - Westgate Park City Resort & Spa to The Park Cafe ($30) *Thursday, December 8th at 2:51pm - Liberty Park to The Grand America Hotel ($5.65) *Thursday, December 8th at 11:08pm - Red Rock Brewing Company to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa ($34.05) *Friday, December 9th at 11:23am - Westgate Park City Resort & Spa to Utah Olympic Park ($8.65) *Friday, December 9th at 1:38pm - Utah Olympic Park to No Name Saloon ($11.57) *Friday, December 9th at 4:05pm - Rocky Mountain Shirt Company to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa ($8.65) *Saturday, December 10th at 10:53am - Westgate Park City Resort & Spa to Salt Lake City International Airport ($39.22) We spent a total of $207.03 on Uber rides. Not bad considering this included our ride to and from the airport to Park City, plus roundtrip transport for our day in Salt Lake City. I've heard shuttle rides to Park City from the airport are outrageously priced, so Uber was very reasonable at around $40 each way. My only complaint about Uber is the wait time in Park City. It would normally take 10-15 minutes for a car to pick us up. One morning, it was a 30 minute wait for a car! We ended up skipping the ride and had the roommate's family make two trips with the car since that was faster. Good alternative to renting two cars or getting a giant 9+ passenger van. Plus, it was nice to not have to worry about parking in Salt Lake City. Other than the wait times, Uber was reliable and moderately priced. read more

I think I am happier with Uber than about any other company. Honesty first - I'm a driver. Only for a month or so. Driving for most food delivery services, including Uber Eats/Uber. I love the days I drive for Uber. Less issues, happier customers. Better driver customer service. Never told I don't matter or that I need proof. They send updates to the customer if I'm unable to reach them. It is definitely helpful. There is a little lack of drivers. Hopefully soon we get busier. read more

I have been driving for uber part time and have received just over $5,000 in a year. I just received ky tax info and i have to claim over $10,800 for THEIR cut of over half. Including my tips and THEIR fees. So the $ "I"made shows my earnjngs..but in reality it is MY net and the full amount THEY charge is my GROSS. I signed several people up for them and now none of us will be working for they..they are dishonest and deceitful. Riders pay uber over half of the trip and the drivers are getting taken advantage of by outting so many miles on their cars, shelling out the gas and now I have to pay taxes on what THEY made off me! Visiting SLC from San Diego - my boyfriend and i came in early and settled in to search Yelp for decent fare (R&R BBQ) and we noted it was down town, not knowing the parking situation we decided to call a Uber. We got contacted and collected by Driver David. If you're lucky you'll get Driver David. He is so helpful, friendly and down to earth. Some days my mind thinks I'd get murdered by a driver but David was so professional I never had a chance to be nervous. He has everything set up for guests in his car. He has treats (mints, and candies) pens, stickies, biz cards, the works. He even has packets he made for "Things to do in SLC!" He's super awesome and kind. If you can, find David and you'll be treated well and driven safe! read more

I've ridden with Uber quite a few times. It's good, but the only reason I use them is that it's supposed to be cashless. That is, no figuring out the fare and a tip and having the correct change. Now with their recent change in tipping policy I now have to figure out tips and carry cash. I have no problem with tipping as long as it's part of the app. Until Uber changes their app I'm switching to Lyft which is just as good, or better service. read more

I was heading to a surprise party for my friend who was turning 90 and I needed a ride. I scheduled an Uber ride and was surprised that it would be 20 minutes wait and cost $21.50 to go from Sugarhouse to downtown Salt Lake, but even more surprised when after waiting 9 minutes the driver called and said he had another appointment and couldn't pick me up. He said I needed to cancel the ride so I wouldn't be charged and then reschedule with another driver. When I cancelled the ride there was a $5.50 charge for the driver's time which he said he would refund, and he did, but when I tried to reschedule with Uber the cost was now $32.00. I declined the ride and scheduled with Lyft. The Lyft driver was there within 6 minutes and the charge was around $11.00. I will Uber no more. It will be Lyft or a taxi. read more

Crazy TRUE story!! My husband and I were on our 10 year anniversary trip, and unfortunately we flew Delta (power outage/grounded flights) as the suffered a huge outage. Our flight from SLC to Kalispell, MT was delayed then cancelled for a minimum of 24 hours (and NO promise in that) with an autistic kiddo melting down unable to understand why mom and dad wouldn't be home, our hearts just sank. We needed to be home with our son, not simply a want to be home, but at this point he needed us. We happened to run into our pastors wife at the flight desk (she was trying to get home to her kiddos as well). The 3 of us decided we could home quicker if we drive (10 hour drive from SLC) so we went down to rent a car and drive home, but bc of all the cancelled flights ALL rental places had nothing, zip, zero nada! No trains, buses. It was 1:30 in the morning we were beyond tired and heartbroken. Daniele (pastors wife) just being flippant said "wonder if Uber would do it" not thinking they actually would, I mean it's a 630 mile trip one way! Low and behold Micheal arrived asked where we were headed and nervously my husband replied "Montana" Michael asked "oh where's that?" So we explained to him where we live that's it a loooong drive and his reply "oh Montana, never been there buts it's on my bucket list, let's go!" No Joke this man is just incredible! We started our journey home from SLC airport all the way to Kalispell, MT at the wee early hours of the morning. He was beyond friendly, fun to talk with and get this he literally smiled the ENTIRE trip, he was so happy to see Montana. We did blow a tire in Dillon, MT thankfully we had a les schawab about a mile away, as his spare was flat as well. Michael wasn't even upset, just smiled, it happens. We offered him a decent amount of money for blessing us all so much by getting us home to our children and he just said "no I don't want your money, it was my pleasure. All I ask is that you pay it forward." I mean this man took 20 hours, a whole day just to get us home and didn't want anything in return!! Such a HUGE blessing! After getting us home he decided since he was already here to take an impromptu vacation for a few days! Sadly we wrote his personal number wrong on our paper (we were incredibly tired and it was a stressful trip home) we wanted to treat him to dinner while he was here. Checking our flight status through this day, we realized the magnitude of what this man did for us, according to flight schedules we wouldn't have been able to make it home until Friday, which would have been an extra 3 days! This man needs to be recognized! Seriously! So if you by chance run into Michael (in his early 50's) in a gray/silver grand marquis please tell him you read this review and give the man a high five!! Thank you Michael the world needs more of you! read more

TAKE LYFT! I was charged $143 for a 27 minute drive from Salt Lake international Airport to a friend's house. I had two small dogs in a crate, a small suitcase and several bags so I asked for a bigger vehicle and was assigned a Ford Expedition. Ordered a ride in Park City around midnight on July 14. There were multiple drivers in the area. Marwan answered my request and the app indicated he was on the way. He called me and told me he needed me to cancel the ride and I could find another driver as he could not cancel due to Uber's policy. He said I could do it on the app with no consequence. The app charged me $5 to cancel his ride as I was going to be stuck with no ride if I did not cancel on the app. I guess we were inconvenient for him. He should not have agreed to the ride! Me and my wife took a trip to New York in September and we used uber a few times. After returning home we both deleted the app, however my wife forgot to delete my credit off her account before removing the app from her phone. Then I see a $10 charge every month on the 24th starting in November when neither of us are currently using it and in no way shape or form did we subscribe or sign up for anything. So I call them and get the WORST customer service in the world. I scheduled 2 call backs that never happened and then the 3rd person I talked to hung up on me after he explained that customer support is primarily for drivers so he can't help me. so I email them and explain that they have charged my card for the last 4 months WRONGFULLY and they tell me that its essentially my fault and they refused to refund me.
