I bought a bread roll with pumpkin seeds from Coop Pronto, and it stayed soft and fresh for 2 days! Awesome. Their credit card machines also read American credit cards without the embedded chip, so that was pretty cool. There is also a Bahnhof Imbiss that I think is open 24x7 to satisfy all your Turkish food cravings. My friend really likes the Döner from this place, and he's really picky about his Döners since he's from Germany and usually feels that the Swiss ones aren't as good. I also saw baklava and sütlac (rice pudding) on the menu, which reminded me of my trip to Istanbul where I ate lots of yummy rice pudding at Hafiz Mustafa. I wonder if it's also yummy at this place.

(Probably paying a premium but Switzerland is expensive overall and the station is convenient.) I use the Oerlikon one for shopping (chocolate and snacks) plus there are 2 grocery stores. I also enjoy people watching while haveing a beer at the local bar that is on the south side of the train station.

Eventually found my way, but it was a bit confusing at first. This is quite a large station, but well-connected with many lines, including a direct one to the airport. There is an Asia Store right outside, and I also saw a specialty barbeque sauce shop nearby. Coop and Migros Klubschule are located right across the street, too. So pretty good for lots of stuff.

It's centrally located in the eastern part of the City... and is a hub for many bus/tram/train lines... although not as crowded as the Hauptbahnhof. One might come to Bahnhof Stettbach on their way to the Zoo or to the FIFA World HQ! There is an express Coop in the center of this Bahnhof, so you can pick up a snack or baguette to bring home for dinner. The workers at this Coop were all extremely helpful and friendly (as were most people in Zurich). Thank you!!! Lastly, and most importantly, the public transportation in Zurich is timely and runs seamlessly! All bus and tram stops have electronic info signs that tell you exactly how many minutes until the next ride... and each vehicle has GPS-guided monitors that alert you to how many minutes remain until your stop!!! We sailed on the Paddle Wheel Steamer Stadt Rapperswil, which had just celebrated her 101st birthday. The cruise was smooth and comfortable, and the crew could not have been nicer. We choose 1st Class because of the large number of groups already lining up, and we felt it would be quieter and more relaxing I recommend it whole heartedly. Five Stars.

Such an easy airport to navigate…read more Checked in very early for a 7 AM flight. Waited for the lounges to open. Nice to be able to eat breakfast and relax until the gate was announced. The airport is large. It is an international airport, it much friendlier than Heathrow. (I think Heathrow has a mission to snag toiletries that are not labeled in metric. A 3 oz container is only 90 ml!) Took a shuttle to our plane. Nice to watch the sunrise before heading to Amsterdam and then back to Texas.
