UAE has a very elegant design, with cosy little booths and an open kitchen. The food is simple, middle-eastern fare with a twist. You'll recognize the meals, but the dressings are more than just lemon and olive oil. My friend and I had a bit of everything: flat bread, mashed chickpeas, bean/tomato/parsley salad, radish/lettuce/cabbage salad, couscous, dips (eggplant, hommus), tabouli, some pickled stuff, olives etc. We weren't crying tears of joy, but it was tasty and refreshing. On the downside, the waitress forgot to bring my juice and when we were paying she said "You didn't get your juice, did you?" I said no, and she said "Do you want it now?" No apology.
