We have driven by it a gazillion times. We get to look at some of the older planes parked out on the runway. And as the years go by, we can see the increase in buildings and base housing -- it's a lot (!) that is really quite wonderful. The base, itself, is located right by the beach. There's a nice area next to the ocean and a playground right outside the walled complex. What else they're doing inside the base, I have no idea. I've read some of their history. It is named after a Major General. It opened in 1940 originally and was only renamed the "space force" base in 2020. And they do manage launches of uncrewed rockets at Canaveral. This is one of two Florida bases with this name change. According to one newspaper report, it cost $50,000 of taxpayers' money to change all the signs. However, the name change and the "new" signs indicating this change always make us laugh at bit because of some of the science fiction movie/television show connections, memes, and political jokes that were prevalent when this new "force" was proposed.

As it turns out the address that I had originally received didn't quite lineup instead of rushing me through or anything. She was kind enough to help explain the possible reason. Treating me like a guest and not trying to rush me out the door is what Earn's this place it's fifth star. Can you take personal care of the folks you are helping that makes the world of a difference. Tammy did a great job and thanks to her efforts. I was able to verify with the recipient of the package the address which they had gotten mixed up. The place was super clean on the inside, and the air conditioning was actually a welcome respite from the unforgiving Florida heat and humidity that awaited just outside the double doors Tip: They Close at 1215pm, so make sure you're tracking that beforehand and don't show up on your lunch break to find locked doors

Mailman is a great example of a police officer that's there for us. I "lost" my car this week and my flip flops!! Sounds kind of funny unless it was your car. I called CB Police and was fortunate enough to have this officer show up. He found my car provided safe passage to it and even found my flip flops!!! Plus he was very nice. Thanks Supervisor J. I was pleasantly surprised with the location, convenience, and overall experience at this post office. One of the first things you notice is the ample parking availability in the lot outside once you make your way in it's a simple layout and Fields set up for convenience At the counter, I was helped expeditiously and walk-through different pricing options without feeling like someone was trying to upsell me on anything.
