I moved into my new apartment and for FIVE MONTHS so far, I have been literally harassed with several strange men coming to my door at all hours of the day/evening and weekends too! They immediately asked for SOMEONE ELSE by name. A man. I informed them the previous tenants moved out and I live here now. (A female) They then started to ask me all this personal info. I already completed my 2020 census. I have asked them to please leave me alone many times. They ignore my request. It's frightening. They knock for 10-15 minutes each time causing my dog to go crazy which disturbs me while I'm working and causes chaos since I can't hear my calls at that point. Then, they somehow cunningly obtained my phone number without my consent!! My number is listed as private and now they have been blowing up my phone several times a day! It's terrifying and extremely stressful! Why are they stalking me if I'm not the person they're asking for? I fear for my safety. Men should not be allowed to HARASS women and disrespect her wishes to be left alone, no matter who is supposedly paying them. read more

I'd say I've filled out a few Census forms in my life. I've never completed one that was so easy as 2020. A letter came in the mail. There is a personal code for your household. Go on line to the secure website and answer about five questions. I may be mistaken but I thought years ago there was a million questions about income and more. It's pretty easy when your household is one. I only became confused when it asked my race and I said White. Then I was asked origin I believe. My origin is United States. Not sure I understood so I changed it to Italian. That's where my ancestors came from. We've been here so long I'm not sure why that matters. I'm here and I don't plan on going anywhere. That should be enough. I'm a human bean! Maybe I missed something on the back of the letter. Q and A didn't help me. Oh well! I most likely won't be here for the next Census. I'm not going to worry about it. I'm considering myself counted no matter what I am. Shhhh don't tell anyone but I'm not from this planet. read more

I am thankful for the CB. They collect very important information about how many people that live in your home. The government will tally up to see the demographics of your area and how much money should be allocated to each area. With the Covid-19 pandemic going around now, they want you to do it through the mail or electronically this time around. I believe they do this survey every 10 years. This is very way to do it. I did mine through the mail. It only took about 1 minutes to complete the surgery on paper. Just remember, these people are Federal Government employees. If they do come to your home, please be respectful to them. We all have a job to do. read more

What a letdown. With all the histrionics and bed wetting in Congress over the efficacy and fairness of the Census I was expecting a body cavity search and enhanced interrogation techniques. I suppose that had the Census questionnaire contained an inquiry about citizenship as suggested at one point, this civic exercise would have been controversial. But, it didn't, and it wasn't. Follow the online instructions and it could be completed by any robot in under ten minutes. Not a machine? Maybe in fifteen at the outside if you had problems with how to deal with your college kids being home from school for the permanent Covid-19 Spring Break of 2020. Completing the Census is not too much to ask a U. S. resident to do. For as simple as it is to complete, it has serious implications for how much representation your district gets in Congress and you state assembly, and how funds are allocated from federal programs designed to assist those in need and your community in terms of Medicaid, highway repairs, and even emergency services. So, be a good resident and/or citizen, and do your part to keep accurate records of the people living in your town, county and state. Required every ten years, this is the year. Since 2020 already started off on an unexpected note, I think it's more important than ever for us to raise our hand to prove our existence. Although National Census Day was 4/1/20, I received it in the snail mail and completed mine a bit before April. The process was super simple. There's a code on the letter. Once you get on the website, enter in that code and the entire process was less than ten questions. I didn't spend more than 5 minutes doing it. Maybe one of the least time consuming surveys I've ever completed. Don't put it off, just do it and get it over with. Whatever you do, don't forget about it. Got a letter in the mail with my Census ID. Logged on to my2020.census.gov and filled it in. Couldn't be simpler. Just had a great time filling out the US Census 2020. Would recommend. Weird that when you choose "White," they want to know more detail and what kind of white you are. "Please provide a response. If this person does not have an answer, continue to the next page." I was contacted by a field worker who can't write legible code number and input the wrong spelling so my online questionnaire became unrecorded. I called and the phone operator most likely didn't fill out correctly so later I received 3 more phone calls which I now consider harassment. California government is always "poor" because of such mismanagement. I am usually for democratic philosophies but I think I am voting Republican on every official position next time! read more
