I get threatening calls each month that I am past due for a month. I then have to walk the agent…read morethrough their own system to show them that I have paid, and that their systems are very delayed in recognizing the payment and posting it in their own system. I am on time every month and still have to deal with this, each month. Today, after their threatening call, they hung up on me as I started explaining the situation. When I called back to discuss, and explain that I didn't appreciate being threatened each month they mocked me. They said they would report me to the credit bureau to be pursued by legal action, and stated it was not a threat but just information. I have never in my life had to deal with such carelessness for people from a financial institution. For reference, I have an 800+ credit score, am always on time with payments, and have never come across such a callous experience. I will be looking for a new creditor and would highly advise anyone not to pursue this institution until they're able to significantly shift how they treat their clientele.

I appreciated Loan officer/ Jesse Molinar's excellent customer service provided to me throughout the entire auto loan refinance process last month - even initially when I could not successfully download the application online. His return calls were both timely and educational, and I appreciated his kindness, concern, and patience. I had to call them 4 times to reset my password. Two of the people were men. One lady was nice…read moreand on my last call I had Carlos help me and he followed through instead of hanging up on me. The other two were rude and condescending. One even gave me a hard time transferring me from email to getting my statements in the regular mail.

My parents have banked with 1st NorCal CU for many years, my father a retired fire captain and my…read moremother a retired teacher. When both of my parents became incapacitated due to Alzheimer's and Dementia, I had to exercise my POA to help my parents with their banking. I was so fortunate to have worked with the CU's Senior VP (Lisa) and Senior Financial Service Rep ( Sandra) who always provided my spouse and I with the utmost professional, kind and compassionate customer service. When we moved my parents into memory care / assisted living last month were faced with so many dead ends / unknowns within the banking world as those who have been through what we have can certainly understand and appreciate. Lisa and Sandra were and to this day, always responsive to our cries for help - always offering a solution, even when situations were not always directly related to banking - they were beyond a doubt customer focused and professional. We cannot thank 1st Nor Cal Credit Union enough for their support and kindness - in all honesty will share with all reading this review, we could not have muddled through the maze of dealing with my parents bills and banking without the generous and relentless support of Lisa, Sandra and all who we have worked with at 1st NorCal.
