I also love that by participating in the community, such as posting pictures of yourself wearing your threadless t-shirt, or by spreading the word on the street team, you win points which equal money for future purchases! This was the magazine of choice for me for many years. I loved picking it up from the local music story every month. The problem lately has been to many ads and crap articles. I want more reviews of concerts, albums and tours as well as interviews and photos! I feel like it's more just sales ads and band listings anymore. Still cool to see them in print. Not many doing that anymore. I'm still a fan.

Their reviewers are at least educated, witty, and full enough of themselves to write in depth, if not semi-informative, and well-written synopses of recent releases. The site is also my first-stop shop for music news and tour info. It's also quite pretty looking, and hasn't gone down in the 3 + years I've visited it. They've also got some sweet high-resolution photos of bands playing live, which dress up my desktop from time to time.

Came across this magazine a while back and still amazed they are not more known. They are pretty cool because they talk about not only my friends local band, but major acts that come through town too. They are crazy diverse. One article will be an interview with someone from Ministry and the next a review on Laura Marling. And I have yet to see a story on any flavor of the month bands. When I want to find out about music events happening around town, I don't have to wade through a ton of crap articles about food or gossip. They get to the point. What I really like about In The Loop Magazine is how they are apparently still independent and real. They are not filtered or censored -yet anyway. Love reading the original stories they do, although I wish they'd do more. Love the events calendar and how I can sync with it. The website is really clean, lots of stuff to read about, easy to navigate, cool videos and interviews I've never seen anywhere else again, including my friend local band. Not often you find somewhere that talks about the locals and the nationals. I love anything Chicago especially the Chicago music scene. These guys and gals get it. Nice job everyone! I don't often have a need for colored envelopes but I may look for any excuse, just to do business with Envelopes Express again. My experience specifically: I bought their envelopes on Amazon through there parent company Office Express and just really didn't like the color. When calling the store's number to discuss a return, they offered to send me free samples so that I could find the right color pink. Samples and shipping were free! I selected the better color and Envelopes Express helped me make the exchange quickly. Again, so happy to have let them help me with my wedding envelopes.
