We were seated at the lovely terrace with a beautiful view of the Calvi bay, and were immediately presente the menu with specials by a lovely waitress who also spoke excellent English when our amateurish French failed. As well as getting all the additional details right, the food at La Table di a Loghja is superb and well presented. We shared an iceberg salad with spicy mayo and onions (the "house salad" - genius in its simplicity), and had white fish carpaccio (I fail to remember which type of fish) with grapefruit, and the langoustine linguine in Cap Corse sauce. The fish carpaccio was fresh and vibrant tasting, and the lingine was the BEST dish we have had in Corsica - absolutely to die for! We managed to sqeeze in room for desserts - pavlova with red berry sauce and chestnut sablee with pastry cream, which were also delicious. The best meal I have had during our 6 night stay in Calvi!

Service was of unequal quality due to waiters organisation, with extra stars on some waiters and completely unprofessional behavior from others. We dined as a family of four with our four year old twin. Of course they are kids, do run around but in no way were there any annoyance to the people around. They were amused and very nice to us. The only person that despised them was our first waitress who clearly did not like children. Now in high peak August, restaurants are used to families, aren't they? This explains for parts the two stars but food was simple and average, not to the standards we expected from the reviews. Hubby got a côte de veau that wasn't all that good and that spent probably too much time in the fridge. Wine list was good but poor on food pairing advice. Do go if you're a couple or a party of adults only that are looking for a nice setting and view.
