Back in August of 2020 my wife and I spoke to Darrel and Darrick at our property about putting a…read moredriveway. In September 2020 they called me with a quote for a 20ft wide driveway. I remember asking if there was anything that they could do on the price because it seemed pretty high ($6k). They would never give me anything in writing just kept saying we are good Christian people and a man of my word. In my day a handshake was all needed.. that should have been our first clue to run. Darrel kept saying we've been in business for 50 years. Promised us it would be done before winter so it would be nice for spring of 2021 ( we planned on building in 2021 ). Shortly after that on Sept. 28 2020 I went to work for them as there fertilizer/weed control person. Even while working for them I would ask for paperwork and they refused to give me anything. I would constantly ask Darrick and Darrel when my driveway would be completed, all I would get is it will be dug next week. After constant questioning when our driveway would get started, Darrick finally went and dug it out the week before Thanksgiving 2020. There it sat until spring. I continued to ask when it would get finished only to get the same answers. Tired of getting the run around I told them the beginning of June 2021 if it wasn't completed to satisfaction by June 25th they would be served with court documents. Today is the evening of June 24th. My wife and I went and looked at the driveway. We had agreed on a 20ft wide driveway and got a 14ft wide driveway. They had also told us that it would be compacted with a roller. We didn't realize that meant they were just going to roll a truck back and forth over it I no longer work for them for more than one reason. But I will tell you during the 9 months I worked for them I don't remember one project that was completed at all much less on time. Run, run far away from this business. Do yourself a favor and use anyone else to get your job done!!
