We've visited Tyler Perry Studios several times for Family Feud, Wild 'N Out, and the filming of the movie Straw, and each experience has been amazing! The staff is incredible....so nice, organized, and accommodating every single time. Everything at the studio is spotless. The bathrooms are always clean and smell great, which is such a nice touch. The transportation vehicles are very comfortable with working air and heat, making getting around the huge studio a breeze. Every visit, I notice new buildings and areas I hadn't seen before....it really shows how massive and impressive the studio is. Tyler Perry Studios is definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Atlanta or interested in film and television production. read more

I only had a chance to visit the outside where we were able to take pictures. There were several groups along with us and a security guard that was watching us like we were doing something criminal. If someone would walk over a line, he would run over and tell them to step back, it was a little overwhelming and he it was like he was trying to ruin our little experience. I mean we are only on the outside of the location not even near the front gate. read more

Was driving around Atlanta wasting time and the TP studios name was on the exit sign, so we took it! Tyler Perry knows what he's doing! Although you can't go fully onto the property, he's set aside an area for folks to take photos. Follow the signs! Also, there are no public tours. You have to call Tyler and ask for access. BUT if you have Tyler Perry's number in your phone, then you've probably had a tour already! read more

I recently had the opportunity to work as an extra at TPS and the property is so beautiful. The sound stages are also kept very clean by Tyler's staff. The grounds outside were always perfect and beautiful. The only thing that could have made the experience better would have been if it was a Tyler Perry Production I was working on. I'm from North Carolina and traveled to Atlanta. I was there for a couple of days and wanted to see Tyler Perry studios. We went be the complex and was stopped at the gate by security. We were told that there was no tours scheduled for Tuesdays. I have no problem with the officer doing his job, Al though we weren't even allowed in the complex to drive around. It's very beautiful grounds and we just wanted to take pictures. I was so disappointed but understand rules and protocol. I was not expecting this type of treatment from a company owned by Mr. Perry and a man who had a very challenging and humble beginning. I've been on site as an audience member for divorce court twice and it's a very large property. I will say that it would be ice to allow audience members to use the restrooms INSIDE of the studios because the ones they have for us are outdoors inside of trailers and it's very nasty inside. It doesn't appear that anyone cleans them periodically, it's a small, tight, stuffy space, no room to hand toilet paper on a roll or paper towel so the toilet paper was wet on the sink. It was pretty gross inside and a bit smelly. Other than that, the studio looks like a studio with built sets. It would be nice to get a tour of the property. Just some suggestions! read more
