My experience with Alex Doce from First Community Mortgage was phenomenal. The entire process was…read moreextremely smooth from the initial pre-approval, appraisal, underwriting, and down to the closing. I found Alex solely by searching the web for local lenders and his name happened to come up on every platform I visited, so I took a leap of faith to trust the reviews and can now vouch for his raving reviews. It's only right I add my testimony. He works fast and is efficient. Thank you Alex for your knowledge, professionalism and service. All the best, Kim and Rafael

In short, Alex Doce came to my rescue in one of the most precarious situations I've ever been in…read morecertainly financially. I had made some bad decisions and planning and while there are plenty of opportunities, bridging the gap I had put myself in a situation where I'd overextended myself by trying to get extra credit cards etc, you know how that goes and I didn't think because I was too an experienced about getting a loan on the house that I inherited a little more than a half year ago. The first person who tried to and showed me that there was an option, something called a no-income/ verification loan. The riskiest for banks and only a selection places offer them, but the person that first reached out to me hid, despite my prying and trying to get more information, so much that when I got the disclosure papers or the closing documents I think he just expected me to sign because I was so in need. Well that wasn't going to happen, so I had to find someone else, and I stayed up all that Friday night and on that Saturday morning Alex called me back from my messages. From there I dealt with a man I have utter respect for. He is hardworking, generous and not only with his time, we got to know each other actually quite well during this process and learn quite a bit about each other and had some very nice conversations, but with the difficulty that I was facing he even took half of his normal fee to help me out in my situation. I never asked for that. He just did it and I just got the paperwork stating that he was doing it. He's just the type of person. I learned a lot about his history and everything he had gone through and his struggles to make it in life, and it shows in his determination and dedication and work ethic. I don't know how he does it, but he works at a feverish pace for I don't know how many hours a day but I think our regularly 10 or 11, and then works a good part of Saturdays as well. And when you talk to him it's during this time it's all business and then he's back to work taking care of it and calling you back a few minutes later with a problem solved. An expectation that was reasonable just so it wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't take the last time, and it did take less time which I'll tell you about, but he said that we would be able to get it done within about a month or less and I would have my money. If it wasn't just for one particular thing that held things up for a week, I would have had it in about half the time, and as it was we were still I believe a week or more early when the funds were deposited into my bank from when we began. He got great terms for my situation with a loan that's got the highest because of the risky nature of it, and he explained to everything that I asked. He was transparent. Everything that you want to find when you put your trust in somebody for things like this, things you've worked so long for and you're hard earned money. I could go on but I'll just finish by saying that I couldn't recommend any higher Alex with his character and abilities and I feel very grateful for having had the chance to work with him, and have him help me in my time even I want to say thank you Alex. I promise that if anybody who is reading this chooses to work with him, you will have a story of your own like this to tell about him that would be similar, at least in regards to Alex and everything that he would do for you and the experience you would have working with him. I can honestly wholeheartedly say that all of this is true, and this is just who he is, and you can expect that he'll do everything in his power and make sure that you have a good experience and success in your pursuits!..Andrew W.

Review for Kevin My Husband and I are self employed and have…read morealways done stated income loans with high interest rates and on tough terms like ARMs as our goal was always to go conventional. I reached out to a ton of companies and was looking at another stated income loan in the time of covid when many lenders were being strict. I reluctantly answered Kevin's call as I figured he was going to tell me what every other lender had. The first thing he asked after me giving some information was why we needed a stated based on the info I had shared. He promptly informed me that we could get conventional rates based on an asset loan. I put him on speaker phone so my husband could hear and I believe I told him 100 times that it sounded too good to be true and what was the strings attached. He said it was real but I asked him why in my time of 15 years buying homes as self-employed that no one had ever mentioned "this type of loan" and we would be crazy to not try. He made the process so simple and he's such a cool guy in general to speak to. He speaks to you in terms you understand and almost makes it sound so easy that you wonder how it's even possible. Well he proved me wrong and provided on every aspect of the loan. For the first time we have gotten a conventional rate and do not have to pay more for being self-employed. Kevin walked us through the process and it we ever needed anything he was there to help us right away. He was so excited to give us the call when he got our official clear to close. My biggest point in sharing the amazingness of Kevin is simply why dozens of lenders never offered this loan to us and why we never knew it was an option. We could have saved so much money simply by using Kevin a long time passed. He's not just a lender but a true expert and takes passion in his knowledge for ALL loan and All circumstances. I sent many his way already and the few he wasn't able to assist he was honest right away and didn't string them along. If you are buying a home you probably know exactly what I'm talking about with the lenders that promise the world and don't provide. Kevin provides and he truly cares. I'm so grateful that I found him and I will never use another lender as long as we can use Kevin. Morgan was very efficient to work with as she assisted Kevin and they cheered us along as we sold and bought along the way. I cannot thank Kevin enough for giving me that first call and asking me to trust him. Up until the day we closed I was still skeptical but he proved me wrong and I'm happy he did. Basically, Kevin is a magician. Give him a try and TRUST HIM. Thank you for everything!!!!

The most disappointing and disheartening home buying process I could ever imagine. As a first time…read morehomebuyer, Cross Country Mortgage did not make my dream of purchasing my first property anywhere near what I thought the experience should be. To begin, the first representatives I spoke with conducted an over the phone interview with me where they seemed very genuine and determined to be very transparent and communicative. After that initial conversation I did not hear back from that representative again for almost two weeks. When I called to inquire where I was in the loan process I was told he was out of the office and they did not have an ETA on when I would receive an update on the status of my approval letter. My realtor got me in contact with a different representative and the loan process moved forward from there. The rest of my loan process was hit or miss. I was timely with providing them with the documents they requested however, they did not make it a priority to respond to my phone calls, voicemails or emails. The most traumatic part of my experience was that I was provided with a Closing Disclosure on 6/11 which showed my cash to close and itemized my closing costs. My expected closing date was 6/15. My realtor and I reached out repeatedly to ensure they had everything they needed to make my closing day smooth and the day before closing they stated for some unbeknown reason they hadn't finished the paperwork and I had to push closing back by two days. This was not only disappointing but I'm a teacher so it posed an issue with me having to try and find coverage for my classes at the last minute with the date change. Late on 6/14 I received a call stating there was another change and we were clear to close. Only having revived the Closing Disclosure from 6/11 I took those numbers and wired the outlined cash to close to the title company and showed up to closing. During closing the title company showed me an updated Closing Disclosure that I NEVER received from Cross Country so I was still unable to officially close because the cash to close I wired was almost $2000 short of what I was informed of. (I don't have an issue with the numbers changing however, I believe as soon as the title company was provided with an updated Closing Disclosure I should have been provided with that information as well.) I was also surprised to find that Cross Country had rolled credit card payments into my loan which had already been paid off causing me to spend out extra money during closing that I now have to wait to be reimbursed from the credit card companies. At no point in time did cross country ever disclose rolling over credit card payments into my loan and my realtor as well as the sellers realtor both said that this was a practice that they had never heard of before. I honestly feel that after my experience with this company I was discriminated against as a black woman and taken advantage of. I would never recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
