Specialties
*By Appointment*
We help beginning authors with clean, wholesome projects become self-published. We are not a 'big house'. We do not offer full publishing services. We do offer friendly, helpful advice and assistance with:
*organizing your writing
*content
*page layout
*basic editing
*cover design
*printing
Some clients prefer their project to be bound as it stands, others need help with everything. Either way, we aim to meet the needs of the individual.
You may print just one copy of your book or 100-- it's up to you. Best of all, you keep your rights and you get to handle your own marketing.
*NOTE* We would love for people to walk in and say 'hi', however we are often out of the office on assignments. The best way to catch us is to give a ring or send an email to set an appointment time. We will be happy to work with your schedule.
History
Established in 2012.
Like all good journeys, we began by getting lost. Really lost. Robin had several manuscripts forlornly collecting dust in a drawer. I had just been whapped over the head by the inspiration imp & was, dazedly, connecting the bits that would soon become my Rivers Series novels. We researched using the 'big houses'; Robin even sent several query letters. In the end, we preferred to maintain control over our own projects. We had no idea how many hats we would have to don. Just how do you take a handwritten manuscript & turn it into a real-live, pages in a cover, neat & tidy book? Like good literary rookies, we sought advice. We discovered that the printer only prints, he does not advise. The binder only binds. The editor only edits. The cover designer only designs. We were on a journey all our own. It's been fun, educational, and bumpy. Eventually the community began asking for help with their own projects & so we branched out into consulting.
Meet the Business Owner: Natalie R.
I am an eclectic collection of hobbies and skills. I've lived on the Great Divide, built a chicken coop on a croft in the Scottish Highlands, dangled my feet over the cliffs of Ireland, hand loaded aircraft, & very nearly had a hang glider lift me from terra firma. Our clients bring in all sorts of stories, so it helps to be broad in my own interests. I have an M.A.in Education, a A.A. & B.A. in Studio Art, and a technical certificate in American Sign Language Interpreting. In everything I do, I am most pleased when I can share what I know with someone who is eager to learn. I love seeing clients get excited when all the hard work they put in finally culminates in the arrival of their first book. I have been where they are now standing. Creating a book is work-- and putting our work out there for others to see makes many of us nervous. I get that.
