The movers were great, and they worked really hard. It was the customer service that sucked. My partner and I were dealing with "Bryce". He wouldn't answer my texts confirming that the move was on the 26 and asking what their ETA was. I have the read receipts and the screenshots. Lo and behold, on the 26, Two Small Men With Big Hearts were a NO SHOW. My movers DIDN'T SHOW UP. It was a "mix up". This put me back cleaning the house, getting the carpets cleaned, etc. Not a peep from Bryce, no sorry, no nothing. Will never use this company again. I never leave reviews. I'd like to leave a good one; however, this was the worst move in my entire life! The lead guy, Mike, came in to our home, extremely rude started telling me what he couldn't take. Asked me why they weren't going to Buck Lake and to Red Deer storage unit instead, which was shorter distance. They had a truck, not a moving van, said he couldn't take all our things. Quite frankly, I felt like he didn't want to take anything. My husband said that they could load our stock trailer and he would haul it. My son and grandson came to help because it was very clear at this time that it would not get done. His son, Connor, was an absolute PUNK! When my friend told him that he was cheeky for such a young buck, his reply was that we were cheeky for a couple of old broads. My friend said he used the B**ch word. I'm not sure if after packing so carefully, that I have any whole china left! They wanted to quit at 3:00 to go for supper, already having a lunch break and several smoke breaks. Mike informed me they couldn't work over 13 hours or he would be fined $10,000.00. I told him that he had only been there since 9:30 so he had plenty of time left. Connor piped in and said they still had to unload. They did not know how to stack the truck, kept debating amongst themselves how. Then when they finally got the big stuff, my family had 3/4 of the stock trailer loaded themselves. They did reluctantly help move the rest of the bins to the trailer. The group was told what was not to go, as this was our temporary living things. Connor proceeded to take the stuff getting it mixed up in the other stuff. When I yelled "Stop" he totally ignored me and continued to put it in the trailer anyway. Having two units, Mike told me it wouldn't be enough room. they didn't stack the same bins, they put stuff on our good wood tables, we tried to suggest things to help. Their response was they were the professionals. Tell me how Connor, a 17 year old is a professional! He loaded things on a dolly and then dumped them in the aisle of the facility for us to load into the unit ourselves. When the "professionals" filled up their unit, my family was finished the entire trailer and they then used our unit to put the rest of our things. Although they had the larger items, couch, table/chairs (which I forgot to mention that Connor didn't want to even take it because he told my friend it wasn't convenient), my family had finished and continued to stack the rest of the things from their truck. The one young man, very polite, hard working was Jordan and he was fantastic! Unfortunately, he was not the lead. SAVE YOUR sanity and hire someone else. Our son and daughter moved the following week and used a different company, half the time/price and they didn't have to lift a finger. read more

I do "not" recommend using Two Small Men With Big Hearts moving company, in Red Deer. They loaded everything up fine, but when they got to the drop off site, a condo, we tried to make it easier for them by having them back down a bit of a grade to the back gate. They wouldn't do it, saying they had to call their Boss. Everything on hold until that happened. Boss finally shows up & says it's too dangerous. Ok...we get that, so they have to go in through the front & down some stairs. Their choice. We tell them they can't park in front of the front doors but they refuse to listen. People are yelling at us from their balconies to move, as he was blocking garage doors. My husband asks them again to move. The Boss (think his name was Mike) gets rude to my husband saying that he has done 8 other moves to this building. If he has done this, then he should know where he has to park! My husband asks him once again, to move the truck & the Boss said it will cost us extra to move but my husband says, I don't care because these people are getting upset & we have to live here. They have rules in this building & we have to abide by them! One of the other workers was also "cocky", a real tall guy. The only nice one was a new hire named Wayne I think, but the workers kept calling him Roger. A young guy & he was very polite. Mitchell, the young supervisor was also good. Not a happy experience, & the Boss, Mike, should take some customer service training! . I tried to leave a review on their site but of course, it was down & I couldn't leave one. read more

Great service by Mike and Kaylen ( I hope I got his name right ) . The fellas were fast and efficient. I think the office could be more up front in regards to all of the add ons. I was quoted $150.00 per hour over the phone and it ended up being $250.00 per hour. read more

This company is just terrible. They low balled the price, then held my items hostage until I paid their overcharge(#ransome). They delivered my items a month late, they would not return my calls when I tried to find where in Canada my items were located (#month late). They cursed and swore at my husband and challenged him to a physical fight and also swore and hung up on me when I tried to find out any information on the location and "new" delivery date for our items (slept on a floor for a month). Our items arrived damaged even though I packed them extremely well (have moved many times in past without issue and know how to hurricane proof pack). Please beware of this company, there has even been shows on TV showing how they uncharge, damage and hostage take items. read more

BEWARE! I used Two Small Men to move my belongings from a storage facility to a condo in Red Deer. They were on time and pleasant. That's about as good as it got. When we arrived at the facility where my furniture was stored they asked if any of it was particularly delicate/fragile. I pointed out an armoire with a delicate finish and asked them to be careful how they handled it, showing them the best way to move it (I had moved it 2 or 3 times previously with no ill effects). However, they said they knew how to do it, they do this all the time; needless to say the finish was damaged. in addition, the valance at the top of the unit was damaged and the doors on a small chest were also damaged. When I called the office the next day to make a claim I was asked to submit photos of the damage, which I did the following day. I received an email from them confirming that they would arrange to have my furniture picked up for repair and I would hear back from them "by Friday". When I didn't hear anything further for several Fridays I tried emailing, leaving voice mail messages and speaking with other staff members but I was never able to speak to the person who said my issue would be taken care of. And it seems no one else was able to address the situation, though I have my suspicions that one of the people I had spoken to several times was actually the owner. After a year of phoning and emailing I have given up. Obviously they have no intention of fixing my furniture or compensating me in any way. So much for customer service. Would I use them again?
