I just want to say that I'm a little put off by your policy. Nobody mentioned a fee for a trial…read morelesson when I made the appointment and looking through my emails you didn't mention the $45 fee for anything until after we missed the appointment. I would have driven all the way to you just to turn around and leave because of your fee that wasn't disclosed upfront. Most local studios and private teachers I have found to offer an initial lesson for free to see if it is a good fit. If that's is not the case with you it would be a much better business practice to be a little more upfront in the future. It feels incredibly dishonest.

Danielle is a truly exceptional piano teacher. She brings a rare blend of musical expertise,…read morecreativity, and warmth to every lesson. Our daughter has grown so much under her guidance--not just in skill, but in confidence and her emotional connection to music. Danielle is thoughtful and responsive in her teaching style. She meets students where they are, while gently challenging them to grow. It's clear she invests deeply in their progress, and her encouragement has made a real difference for our daughter who has been with Danielle for 2-3 years now. Whether online or in person, she creates a structured, supportive, and inspiring space to learn. She balances music theory and foundational piano with flexibility, making lessons both meaningful and motivating. We're so grateful to have found her. Danielle is a gem, and we can't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a teacher who is both incredibly skilled, patient, and genuinely committed to her students' growth.

Short version:…read more Danielle helped me undo decades of resistance around reading music, dramatically improved my sight-reading and technique, and helped me finally feel like the musician I always wanted to be. She is intuitive, kind, appropriately firm, and exceptionally good at meeting students exactly where they are. I couldn't recommend her more highly. Long version (for anyone who enjoys context): I took private piano lessons as a child, from 4th through 12th grade. I became very comfortable and confident playing, but I had a persistent internal resistance to learning to read music.   I continued to play throughout my adult life, but eventually gave up on reading music altogether. Over time, that created a quiet sense of inadequacy- as though I couldn't truly consider myself a musician without that skill.   In my mid-forties, my desire to grow as a musician reawakened, and I decided it was time to try again. Around that same time, I came across a post by Danielle saying she had an opening for a new student. I took it as a sign, reached out, and scheduled a first lesson. The lesson went so well that we immediately agreed to continue working together.   The same old blocks were still present, but within a relatively short amount of time, Danielle recognized them and somehow figured out how to work through them with me. Little by little, they began to dissolve.   Since then, I've been making daily progress in my sight-reading abilities and technique, expanding my repertoire, and finally growing into the musician I've always wanted to be.   I attribute this progress largely to Danielle's unique ability to intuitively understand her students and teach them in the way they need to be taught. She is incredibly sensitive, yet gently firm when appropriate. She is kind-hearted, fun, and uplifting, but by no means a push-over. That balance is important for adult learners, and even more so for children.   I only wish I'd had a teacher like Danielle when I first began my musical journey.   Without hesitation, I would emphatically recommend Danielle to anyone looking to begin (or rediscover!) their musical path.
