My husband loves old computer games like Red Alert and Battleship 1942 that I can't get to play on our Mac. I bought him an old PC running Windows 95 that worked for years until it didn't. I brought the old PC and even older game discs to Two River Computer - not sure that they could do anything with what was essentially a deep dive into old technology. Thomas S. was exceptional. He did some troubleshooting on the old PC and didn't even flinch when it caught on fire. He found a replacement PC in the shop, reinstalled the games and a newer operating system along with assorted patches needed to get things running, and provided remote support to get over the last few hurdles. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant and responsive to my many questions. This work far exceeded my expectations. read more

I just had my laptop fixed at TRC and it now runs great! The staff was very helpful and professional and the turn around time was very fast. Previously, I have used the larger chain stores and they were expensive and took forever. I felt the repair pricing was resonable considering the quality results. read more

They are attentive, informative and accommodating. Fixed a desktop, and when TRC came to install and set up, I had decided to make further changes and add a laptop to the workload. TRC took both computers away and back to the shop with no grumbling, eager to help, just nice people. I went to Tom, the owner, with my computer problem. I could not download PDF files. He went to my settings, made a switch to where the PDF files should go and in 1 minute my problem was solved. He said it was a simple change and did not even charge me. It's nice to know I can bring my computer to someone who is reputable and knowledgeable. I feel lucky to have this business available to me. We brought our Macbook in, it kept turning off then when I would try to turn back on there would be a blinking file folder and question mark. Brought it in to be fixed, cost us a few hundred bucks. About 4 mo. later it started doing the same thing, I called them back and they said they were sorry but it was after the warranty so there was nothing they could do, if I brought it in I would be charged for it to be fixed, even though it was the same exact issue. My husband brought it to I believe Tom Chungs computer service in Ocean. We explained what the computer was doing and he said oh, it's your hard drive, easy fix. Took about 4 days, picked up the computer and it runs like a dream, doesn't turn off, no glitching, freezing, just amazing. I just wanted to let people know to be careful when using Two River, I don't know what they did but they fixed it temporarily and didn't stand behind their work when the computer had the same exact issue that they supposedly fixed, it wasn't a different issue. Either way, kind of glad it happened because I'm sure if they would have "fixed" my computer it would have glitched out again a few months later. Moving some furniture this morning and cracked the wall outlet to my computer network connection. I was not sure who to call to fix it, so I called Two River Computer to see if they would suggest someone. They maintain and fix a few computers we have, but did not know they did networks too. I sent an email in the morning, and Phyllis from their office called within the hour to schedule a tech service call this afternoon. I was expecting it to be an hour or two just to track down the right network cable, but Tom had all the right network gadgets and fixed it before I had time to get a cup of coffee. My computer was telling me about an "imminent failure" with my hard drive. My computer is over 5 years old and I was fully prepared to buy a new one. TRC dusted off my fan, cloned my info to a new hard drive, and now my computer is running like new- super fast, quiet. Like a new computer. They could easily have sold me a new one, but fixed mine for a fraction of the cost. Totally trustworthy and efficient, too. Would highly recommend. read more
