They "diagnosed" my mother's iPad as having a broken screen and said it would cost $130 to fix it. We said not to do that and went to pick it up. They tried to tell us they already ordered the part--even though we explicitly told them not to. Then they charged $37 for "diagnosing and cleaning up/updating software". No software was updated. The "broken screen" was not broken, the iPad was in voice over mode. I fixed it in less than 3 minutes including the time it took to google the problem--I have zero tech experience. I called to complain and Dave the owner did SAY he would give us a refund but never called back to issue the it. He somehow found it HILARIOUS that his "best technician" couldn't fix the issue. It's pretty obvious that these clowns thought they could pull a fast one on my eighty six year old father. Absolutely despicable. read more

We are neither computer geeks or mind readers - we took our home computer to them for service - we were told they couldn't get in even with the password, and they would have to re-load the system. They never explained exactly what that meant. We got our computer back- BUT- no files, letters, downloads, photos, and apps we had purchased including the original WORD program I was using - ALL GONE!! They said that it had to be in order to fix windows. There are now many apps on here that I don't recognize and am afraid to use the computer in case we have "new partners". I took my desktop in for what I thought was bad RAM, but after a while they pinpointed it to bad memory on the graphics card, which was under manufacturer's warranty. It was probably a pain for them to deal with, but because of their 'diagnostics is free' policy they didn't charge me for anything. I am a bit "technically challenged" . I have an older laptop that was giving me problems. I really didn't want to deal with a large computer store, I get too overwhelmed! We bought our last 3 computers from On-Site and use them for servicing & maintenance. I am a senior citizen and am tech-challenged when it comes to computers. It is good to have someone reliable to help. I get prompt and friendly service from On-Site. Tom comes to our house about once a year and he has been a lifesaver. He helped out yesterday with a TurboTax installation problem and installation of Microsoft Office on our new computer. He has always been able to solve the issues we have. Probably not the best store to go to for an Apple computer mine had a virus I dropped it off at 12 on a Thursday they said it was ready at 11:30 the next morning when I got there it was still infected I had to leave it till the next morning they said it was ready and I was still infected I took it home $200 later . read more

I guess I can't say this place is terrible, but it's overpriced and just not great service. I feel like I should be getting better service from this place for the money that they charge. And half the time it seems like the employees don't actually know what they're talking about. Since I've found other tech repair stores in the area that are better I've started going to them instead. My computer turned on but my operating system would not load, leaving me with what is known as the black screen of death. I took it here, asked the technicians a lot of questions, then left it with them for it to be fixed. They were very honest and thorough with their analysis and repair. Must say --I used this company about 5 years ago, and found them to be awesome. Presently, that is not the case at all!!! We had laptop issues, unable to connect to internet. On-site told husband to bring laptop in so they could diagnose. They then charged us $185 to clean out viruses and said it should work now. I said, "how? it's not recognizing our router.I believe that we have a router problem." Oh, but it's working here so go try, it really should work. Brought home, viola, no interent. OK, gentelman on phone tried to help me when I immediately called back, then when he figured it must be a problem with the laptop not recognizing out router so he set an appointment for a tech to come. OK--tech comes, thought perhaps router was on fritz, no worries, I have one with me. No thanks, I said, I can get one at staples and install myself like the last two. NO, I have one with me and can do now. It's only $59.99. You will be up and running in less than an hour. OK, after an hour and another $150, we had wireless again. Tech says upstairs desktop tower is old, needs to be cleaned out and RAM increased. OK, if that will make all trouble go away, I will drop it off. A week and $185 again later, that supposedly is good and working. However no, still uns super slow. All over a 30 day period, good and plenty of money spent. This morn, after diagnosing with cablevision and attempting to reboot this router---cablevision tech says I was sold a crappy, no name, no good reputation router and its already shot. One month later. When I called to ask what to do now, On-Site said I need to make an appointment with a tech (that $80 there) and they will come out. And she was looking at my old invoices so knew all the money just recently. Great service??? Absolutely not. Never again----and spreading the word. We are local and vocal. Shame on you. read more
