Wonderful with our dog, and went above and beyond when I needed paper work to take my dog to Canada!

I was hoping for a walk in just to trim my dogs nails. I am an OTR Truck Driver and finding a Vet this close to a truck stop just doesn't happen. I walked in and asked the fee for the service and was rudely told they are not accepting new patients. I responded my dog doesn't need to be a patient just get her nails trimmed and Im gone. The lady gave me a disgusted look and pretty much dismissed me. That is not a way to get new business and I would not recommend going here. read more

I usually do not do this (leave bad reviews) but I've been pushed to my limit. The lady who answers the phone has to be the absolute rudest person I've ever talked to. I've been going to this vet for 20+ years. I called last year when my puppy got hurt on Memorial Day weekend. It was a Friday at noon when I called. I was in a panic and when I asked if she could be seen the receptionist literally laughed out loud! Believe me I thought it was far from funny as my pup is crying in my husbands arms. Fast forward to this past experience. My son's cat (who is an established patient) was very very ill. Again, I called on a Friday afternoon and told her he was sick. She said her soonest was Tuesday of the following week. I told her "I don't think he'll make it until Tuesday, you don't have anything sooner?" She snapped back with "YOU CAN GO TO AN EMERGENCY VET". Really, because YOU are my vet and you're there now. She in her condescending tone said, "I can put you on the cancellation list but you aren't the only one on it (with an annoyed tone)". Again, I said, "I don't think he can make it. He's very sick". She pipes up with, "what's your number?!" I gave it to her. She said, "ok now you're on the cancellation list." Saturday morning my son's cat passed away rushing him to an er vet (which we couldn't afford that's why we called the regular vet). She was DOA. Shame on this vet practice. If this is what the receptionist was told to do. Shame on the receptionist for not having one iota of compassion. I have to add that I am a dog groomer and a lot of my customers ask for vet recommendations. You bet, I'll share my experience so they can form their own options. I thought it was just me with rude phone service. The person who answers need lessons in compassion. I do believe I complained to the office a year back about this. Also, they always schedule out a month or so and when you have an EMERGENCY you can't get your pet in. There should be times set aside for emergencies. Life happens. read more

We have been going to Two Ridge for 3 years. I have always been treated with courtesy by all the staff, including the Vet. Dr Sommerville is always so thorough and loving towards my dogs. I have always seen nothing but genuine kindness towards all the people and animals in their business. read more

My 10 yr old small dog had a small open bleeding wound and the soonest "available" date was over a month away. we have use this office for a very long time 15+ years and have never been treated so ignorant by front end staff. the lady who answered the phone was rude the second I asked why they don't keep 1 or 2 slots available for quick fix issues that arise in their patients like a reg Doctor office does. (I work in medical) and gave me a very hard time on getting the records for the new vet. then after agreeing to print me all my itemized receipt records the lady hung up on me mid sentence. This vet has 3 veterinarians. there is no reason for this treatment & I hope the Sommerville family reads this review & addresses their rude staff & loss of customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I have been coming to this office since I got my dog 3 years ago. I've always seen the younger man doctor, who I assume is the son. He's always been nice and caring with my dog. But today I had the absolute DISPLEASURE of meeting the older doctor. I had come to the son with an issue with my dogs paw before, and he stayed in the room and clipped them, no issue. Today I just wanted my dogs nails clipped and toes looked at for any irritation. The older doctor was quick to put a tightening leash on her and take her down the hall to clip her nails. There I watched as he PICKED MY DOG UP BY THE LEASH TIGHTENING AROUND HER NECK to get her on the table. She yelped and screamed as the vet tech quickly slammed the door so I couldn't see any more. They clipped her nails and brought her back to me and when I was upset, he acted as if I was over reacting and she was fine. She has cuts and marks on her neck, and he could have simply waited for the table to lower or just PICKED HER UP?? No animal deserves that. And they charged me $42 to hurt my dog.
